Griffco Valve, Inc., Amherst, New York, has announced  the introduction of its new line of high-pressure chemical injection valves (injection quills).

Used as the transitional point for the chemical before it is injected into process piping, Griffco’s model IVQ injection valves feature dual-threaded NPT connections in 1/2” (DN 15), 3/4" (DN 20) and 1” (DN 25) sizes with standard quill lengths of 3” for 1/2” and 3/4” diameters, and 4” on 1” diameter models. (Other quill lengths are available.) Metallic models provide a maximum operating pressure of 3500 psi (241 bar); non-metallic models of 150 psi (10 bar). Valve opening pressure is 10 psi (0.7 bar). The new injection valves are made in the USA.

Featuring simplified, robust construction, the new injection valves/quills ensure that chemical feed systems inject into the center of a process stream for better mixing and to prevent corrosion along the process pipe, according to Griffco. A check valve helps keep the chemical secure and prevents backflow up the chemical line.

The valve body is available in a choice of three metallic materials of construction (316 Stainless Steel, Alloy 20, and Hastelloy C) as well as three high-grade plastic materials (PVC, CPVC, and PVDF). The valve ball is available in PTFE, 316 Stainless Steel, or Hastelloy C. The spring is Hastelloy C.

Griffco Valve manufactures high-quality accessory equipment used from the storage tank to the injection point in chemical feed and pumping systems. Products include back pressure valves, pressure relief valves, calibration columns, pulsation dampeners, corporation stops, y-strainers, gauge guards and instrument isolators, and other chemical feed accessories.
