McCrometer Lab ISO Accredited

McCrometer’s Calibration Laboratory accredited to ISO 17025 through NVLAP, a signatory to ILAC

Flow measurement company McCrometer announced its accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 through NVLAP (NVLAP is a division of NIST), an official signatory to (ILAC) International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation. McCrometer said it is one of only six flow labs in the U.S. that has achieved this accreditation.

The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) is a global cooperative of laboratory and test accreditation bodies. In the United States, ILAC accreditation is undertaken by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP). NVLAP accreditation provides McCrometer’s V-Cone flow meter customers worldwide with superior confidence in its laboratory flow calibration and test results.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission’s (IEC) Standard 17025:2005 describes the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibration of precision equipment. Much like ISO 9001 establishes the standard for the quality of the product, ISO 17025 establishes the quality of the calibration. Accreditation of McCrometer’s calibration test stands gives its customers the extra assurance that the calibration accuracy of the McCrometer V-Cone meter is accredited by a competent third party and represents proof of McCrometer’s commitment to total product quality both in the U.S. and internationally.

McCrometer said it is recognized among its peers for its calibration laboratory, the Hemet Facility, which features three robust gravimetric systems and two volumetric systems.
