As part of its continuing global growth strategy, Aberdeen based oil and gas asset integrity and corrosion management firm LUX Assure has increased its presence in North America with the appointment of a new agent and distribution team.

Following its recent announcement of a sales agreement with Houston-based Brown Corrosion, LUX Assure is now working alongside Canada-based Corr Science and Rysco Corrosion Services to further strengthen its regional ties.

Charles Cruickshank, LUX Assure CEO, said, “In order to meet the growing demand for our products and services in North America, it was essential to expand our operations. Working with such well-established companies to enable us to introduce and develop our ground-breaking technology and services is fantastic, and we’re delighted to have them on side. North America is a major market within the global oil and gas industry, and having a presence there is a testament to the demand for what we at LUX Assure offer, demonstrating our commitment to the region.”

Canada-based Corr Science has acted as an agent since January 2014, to develop and promote LUX Assure’s CoMic product and offerings in the region. Rysco Corrosion Services, which will be deploying CoMic in the region, will be trained up by LUX Assure’s skilled and experienced technicians Cameron Mackenzie and Doug Campbell, in its innovative technologies at Rysco’s R&D facilities in Lacombe Canada.

Cruickshank continued, “Since the company was launched in 2001, it has gone from strength to strength, expanding considerably over the past 12 months due to significant investment and branching out into new regions.

“Ensuring company consistency, quality and messaging when expanding globally is very important to us. We have developed step-changes in technology and want to ensure we retain our integrity and standards when working globally, thus guaranteeing those working with it are comprehensively educated in its capabilities is imperative.”

The company also signed a sales agreement with firmly established Brown Corrosion Services in Houston. Brown Corrosion offers a complete line of corrosion monitoring systems in there region and has added LUX Assure’s products to its service line to increase presence in the region.

Cruickshank concluded, “We pride ourselves on being a ground-breaking and forward thinking company, and have developed game-changing technology for the market. We aim to continue increasing our offering to the industry, with significant future R&D investment planned for 2014, to further expand the company’s portfolio of difficult-to-detect chemical monitoring technology.”

LUX Assure has bases in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The company specializes in developing novel chemical monitoring technologies for the oil and gas industry, both on and offshore.
