Louisiana LNG Energy Gets Terminal Funding
Louisiana LNG Energy said on Friday it has secured funding for its natural gas liquefaction facility being developed in Louisiana, which is expected to begin operations in late 2017.
The company said it has secured funds from an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners for the terminal, located south of New Orleans at mile marker 46 along the Mississippi River.
The terminal has export capacity of two million tonnes per annum, with deep water access for very large gas carriers (VLGC), the company said.
The 'mid-scale' LNG export facility will serve export markets with low cost power generation fuels as well as domestic markets with emissions-compliant fuels as an alternative to diesel fuel.
