Iraqi Exports through Kirkuk-Ceyhan Pipeline Resume

Posted by January 18, 2017

Iraq resumed oil exports through the Kirkuk-to-Ceyhan pipeline on Wednesday after pumping was halted for nearly 24 hours "at the request of the Turkish side", a source in Iraq's North Oil Company said.

The outage began early on Tuesday. Oil had been pumped at a rate of 120,000 barrels per day (bpd) before the outage began, the source said.

Exports were below that rate after the resumption on Wednesday, because temporary contingency measures were being used, the source added.
