The head of Russia's top
gas producer Gazprom Alexei Miller said on Monday Ukraine has increased its gas usage from storage, undermining the flow of Russian gas to
Europe.
He also said at the current pace of consumption Ukraine would use up prepaid Russian gas volumes in around two days and warned Gazprom may
halt gas flows to Ukraine if it receives no prepayment.
Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said Ukraine had enough gas in reserve to ensure it did not need to buy gas from Russia at this stage.
