Gazprom, CNPC Focus on Future Cooperation

During a Joint Coordinating Committee Meeting between Gazprom and CNPC hosted in Moscow today the future lines of the cooperation between the companies were discussed. Chaired by the Committee Co-Chairmen – Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Wang Dongjin, Vice President of CNPC the meeting participants reviewed the progress.

In particular, they pointed out the importance of developing interaction in the areas of gas-fired power generation, NGV fuel, standardization, equipment manufacture and supplies, provision of services, inter alia, engineering ones while implementing joint projects.

The meeting addressed the prospects for cooperation in the UGS sector in China with a view to increasing the reliability of Russian gas supplies.
