Keir starmer met with Larry Fink, the chief executive of BlackRock in Downing Street as he sought to repair relations with UK business leaders following last month's Budget.
BP and partners have given green light to a $7 Billion gas project in Indonesia. The project will use carbon capture later in the production process. Major energy companies continue betting on the growing demand for gas in the region.
The UK has sanctioned former Africa's richest woman Isabel dos Santos and exiled Ukrainian Oligarch DmytroFirtash, accused of embezzling funds from the country’s gas supply, as well as AivarsLembergs, who is one of Latvia’s richest men. This comes at a time when the Labour government intensifies its efforts to crack down on those that enable money laundering via Britain's financial systems.
