Slovak and Polish gas transit firms Eustream and Gaz-System will hold an open season procedure to allocate capacity in a planned pipeline connecting the two countries, Eustream said on Friday.
It said binding bids are due by Sept 9.
The planned 158-kilometre interconnector would have capacity of 4.7 billion cubic metres per year in the Poland-Slovakia direction and 5.7 mln from Slovakia to Poland.
It is planned to originate at the eastern Slovak pumping station at Velke Kapusany to Strachocina in Poland.
The link would improve energy supply security by diversifying options for gas flow in the region.
