Boskalis Wins Woodside Scarborough Contract

Dutch dredging company Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. has been awarded the contract for the seabed intervention and shore crossing activities for Woodside’s proposed Scarborough export gas pipeline in northwest Australia.The contract awarded by Woodside Energy Ltd. McDermott Winds FEED for Scarborough FPU

McDermott International, Inc. on Tuesday announced it has signed a contract with Woodside Energy Ltd. to undertake a front-end engineering and design (FEED) activities for a floating production unit (FPU) for the Scarborough field natural gas development in Western Australia.McDermott’s center of excellence in The Hague, Netherlands, will lead the study and early engineering. Woodside Energy GWF-2 Commences Production

Australian oil and gas company with a global presence  Woodside announced that the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) Project off the north-west coast of Australia has commenced gas production.A press release from the operator of the North West Shelf (NWS) project quoted its CEO Peter Coleman saying that  the project has been delivered $630 million below the expected cost of approximately $2.0 billion (100% basis) and six months ahead of schedule.“The project team has done an outstanding job executing and delivering GWF-2, which represents the next phase in gas supply to the NWS Goodwyn A platform…

Woodside: Green light for NWS project

Woodside, as Operator of the North West Shelf (NWS) Project, advises that the project participants have approved the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) Project off the north-west coast of Australia. The GWF-2 Project will develop 1.6 trillion cubic feet of raw gas (2P 100% project basis) from the combined Keast, Dockrell, Sculptor, Rankin, Lady Nora and Pemberton fields using subsea infrastructure and a 35 km, 16” pipeline connecting to the existing Goodwyn A platform. The total investment for the project is expected to be approximately US$2.0 billion (Operator’s estimate;100% cost), with initial project start-up expected in 2H 2019.

SBM Offshore Nets FLNG Turret Contract

SBM Offshore in a statement informed that Technip SA (Technip) has awarded the Company the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract for three, large-scale turret mooring systems associated with the proposed Browse Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) Development in Australia. The contract awarded to SBM Offshore covers the FEED elements of the proposed Browse FLNG Development’s turret work. The three, large-scale turrets are expected to be designs similar to and slightly larger in size than the Shell Prelude FLNG turret that SBM Offshore was awarded in 2011 and whose last module was recently successfully delivered from the construction yard in Dubai.

Woodside to Issue Corporate Bonds

Woodside has entered into an agreement for the issuance of US$1 billion in corporate bonds into the United States 144A bond market. Settlement of the offering is subject to certain customary conditions. The bonds will be issued by Woodside Finance Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Woodside Petroleum Ltd, and will consist of US$1 billion of 10 year bonds with a coupon of 3.65%. The bonds will be guaranteed by Woodside Petroleum Ltd and its wholly owned subsidiary, Woodside Energy Ltd. The funds will be used for general corporate purposes including funding our capital and exploration expenditure program.

North West Shelf to Process 3rd Party Gas

Woodside, as operator of the North West Shelf (NWS) Project, informed that the NWS Project participants today signed a non-binding Letter of Intent with Hess Exploration Australia Pty Ltd to process resources from Hess’ permits in the Carnarvon Basin. The Letter of Intent specifies the proposed terms, including tariff fees, to toll resources from WA-390-P, WA-474-P, and potentially other permits, through the NWS Project’s Karratha Gas Plant. It is intended that, subject to the parties entering into binding agreements, Hess will deliver gas to the NWS Project’s offshore infrastructure for processing at the Karratha Gas Plant and will market and deliver its own volumes.

NWS Approve Persephone Project

participants have approved the Persephone Project off the north-west coast of Australia. The Persephone Project is the third major gas development for the NWS Project in the past six years, demonstrating the joint venture’s commitment to maximising the value of Australia’s largest operating oil and gas project. The project will involve a two well, 7km subsea tieback from the Persephone field to the existing North Rankin Complex. The total investment for the project is expected to be approximately A$1.2 billion (Operator’s estimate; 100% cost), with project start-up expected in early 2018.

Repsol to Drill First Phase of Canary Islands Solo

Repsol, part of a consortium planning to explore for oil off the Canary Islands, will carry out the first phase of the project on its own, a source with knowledge of the matter said on Wednesday. The Spanish oil company and its partners Woodside Energy Ltd. of Australia and RWE AG's oil and gas arm DEA got the green light to drill two sites off the coast of the Canary Islands earlier this month, despite fierce local opposition. Repsol has estimated the cost of undertaking the first phase on its own at about $140 million.
