Serica Energy's UK first-half profits and production fall

Serica Energy, an oil and gas company, reported a lower profit for 2024's first half on Tuesday. A tax charge of $106 million was to blame. A planned shutdown of the Triton Hub, located in UK Central North Sea, also affected production. Serica reported that it produced 43.700 barrels equivalent to oil per day (boepd), down from 49.350 boepd last year. Chrysaor to Buy ConocoPhillips’ UK Assets

Chrysaor has reached a deal to acquire ConocoPhillips’ oil and gas exploration and production assets in the UK for $2.675 billion, the companies announced on Thursday.Full-year 2018 production and year-end 2018 proved reserves associated with the assets being sold were approximately 72,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) and approximately 99 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe), respectively.

Serica Energy Restarts Production at Erskine Field

Serica Energy said that efforts to remove gas hydrates in pipeline between Erskine and the Lomond platform had been successful and it  has resumed production for the first time since January." Statoil sells non-core asset on UK Continental Shelf

Statoil has agreed to sell its 17 percent non-operated interest in the Alba oil field on the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) to Verus Petroleum. Alba is an oil field in the UK Central North Sea that Statoil entered in 1995 and which is operated by Chevron. To date, it has produced around 420 million barrels of oil. Statoil’s equity production in 2017 was around 2,300 barrels per day. “With this transaction we focus on core activities in line with our high value, low carbon strategy.

BP Boosts Culzean field Stake

BP announced today it has doubled its interest in the Culzean development in the UK Central North Sea, following its acquisition of an additional 16% interest from JX Nippon. The acquisition increases BP’s interest in the development from 16% to 32%. “We are pleased to have deepened our interest in Culzean and we look forward to helping Maersk make this important central North Sea development a success,” said Mark Thomas, BP Regional President North Sea Region.

DNV GL Approves Pipeline Isolation Tools

GDF SUEZ E&P UK Ltd and BP today announced a new exploration discovery in the UK Central North Sea. Oyster Petroleum Farms in to UK Central North Sea Licence

Oyster Petroleum Limited recently entered into a farm-in agreement whereby, in exchange for covering certain well costs on drilling, Oyster Petroleum will acquire a 25% interest in licence P.1948, covering blocks 29/7c, 12, 13 and 14 in the UK Central North Sea. The P.1948 licence is operated by Endeavour Energy UK Limited, with further Joint Venture partners Faroe Petroleum (U.K.) Limited and First Oil and Gas Limited, and includes the Shipley and Forwood prospects.

AziPac, Mitra Energy, Invest in Bone PSC, Offshore Indonesia

AziPac Limited says it has signed a Farm-in Agreement with Mitra Energy Limited for a 40% interest in the Bone PSC, Offshore Indonesia.
