Statoil Awards Contracts on Trestakk

Technip Wins Dvalin Subsea Development Contract

Technip said it has been awarded an EPCI contract for the subsea development of the Dvalin field by DEA Norge AS. The Dvalin field (previously named Zidane) development is a tie-back from a new four-slot template to the Heidrun platform through a 15km long Pipe-in-Pipe production line. The development also connects the Heidrun gas export from Heidrun to the Polarled Gas Transport Pipeline through a new 7.5km pipeline.

Solstad Offshore Secures Contract with Technip

Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) says it has entered into a frame agreement with Technip Norge AS and Technip UK Limited (Technip) to supply vessels for trenching, construction and subsea services. The deal’s commercial terms have not been disclosed. The frame agreement, which is valid for 2016-2018, will enable Technip to utilize Normand Progress, Normand Pioneer, Normand Ranger and Normand Mariner.

New Loading Systems Push Gullfaks out to 2040

Installing new loading buoys is one of several projects intended to extend Gullfaks’ life towards 2040. 2.55 billion barrels of oil from the Gullfaks field have passed through the existing loading buoys since first oil. Due to come on line in June the towing of the first loading buoy has started. The second old loading buoy will be removed in August, and the new buoy is scheduled to come on line in mid-September.
