M² Subsea has joined forces with Frontera Offshore to deliver remedial pipeline work for Permaducto, a subsidiary of Grupo Protexa, in the Ku-Maloob-Zaap (KMZ) oilfield in the Bay of Campeche, 65 miles north east of Cuidad del Carmen, Mexico. Subsea IMR provider, N-Sea Offshore Ltd has moved into new, Norwich-based premises as business continues to grow. An integral part of its growth strategy, the premises signify further expansion for N-Sea and will support the company’s increased activity in the oil and gas and renewable market in the Southern North Sea area. Offshore renewable activity currently accounts for almost 30 percent of N-Sea’s business, through its bases in Aberdeen and Zierikzee, The Netherlands.

Ocean Installer Awarded Statoil North Sea Work

Ocean Installer has been awarded North Sea umbilical installation and riser replacement contracts from Statoil, the company announced yesterday. The Norwegian subsea contractor signed amendments with Statoil for umbilical marine installation at the North Sea's Visund field and for riser replacement at the Troll B field. FlexTech Signs Deal with Ocean Installer

Flexible pipe specialist FlexTech has signed a contract for flexible pipe installation with Ocean Installer in a £500,000 deal. Aberdeen-based FlexTech will deliver the detailed design of a flexible pipe installation spread as well as installation analysis and project support to Ocean Installer, a subsea contractor specializing in subsea installation and engineering and construction services. The project will take place offshore Norway during the summer of 2015.

Second Damen Offshore Carrier Ordered

A charter agreement between expanding subsea contractor DeepOcean and Maersk Supply Service has triggered an order for a Damen Offshore Carrier DOC 8500 - the second order for this new ship design from Damen Shipyards Group. The DOC 8500 will extend DeepOcean’s capabilities in the larger cable laying end of the market, representing a new focus on Interconnector projects, in addition to oil and gas sector and renewables work.
