Heerema Fabrication Group's Piling Template for Taiwan Offshore Wind Project

Dutch company Heerema Fabrication Group has won a contract to build pre-piling templates for the Greater Changhua offshore wind developments in Taiwan.A pre-piling template will be delivered to the company's compatriot Heerema Marine Contractors to assist with the installation of the offshore wind turbine piles accurately. The template will consist of 3 pile sleeves connected by framing including hydraulically adjustable pile guides and mud mats. Tidal Power Turbines Installed in Dutch Eastern Scheldt

Mammoet, a provider of engineered heavy lifting and transport, announced it has completed the installation of a Tidal Power Plant (TPP) in the Netherlands. Working with Tocardo Tidal Turbines, producer of tidal and free-flow water turbines, Mammoet carried out the transportation and installation work for this renewable energy project at the Easter Scheldt storm surge barrier (Oosterscheldekering). The project, known as OTP2, comprised five tidal turbines in a steel structure with a total weight of 500 tons. The project raised a number of installation challenges for the teams involved, Mammoet said.

Wave Power Unit for Victorian Waters

BioPower Systems Pty Ltd (BioPower) has finished constructing its prototype wave power unit to be installed off the coast of Port Fairy, Victoria, later this year. Imtech Equips HelWin bèta with HVAC System

On June 14, the HelWin bèta platform left on a barge from the Heerema Fabrication Group's (HFG) yard in Zwijndrecht for Schiedam to complete outstanding work. Last week, HelWin bèta reached its final destination in the German North Sea, where the platform will supply more than half a million households with sustainable energy. That requires high-tech systems. Imtech Marine is responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the HVAC system, being the heating, ventilation and especially the cooling of all high-quality equipment on the platform.
