STATS Group Announces New UK Facility
STATS Group has opened a new Intervention Engineering and Technical Support hub and recruited two of the energy industry’s leading experts in pipeline intervention services. The Aberdeenshire-headquartered pipeline engineering specialist has invested in a new facility in Kendal, Cumbria,(U.K.), which will be the focus of its technical and operational support, coupled with research and development work for its hot tap and BISEP* product lines.
Women Engineers Play Key Role in Submarine Races
MOre than 100 young people from 11 universities from six countries on three continents gather to take part in the European International Submarine Races. The event organizers are celebrating National Women in Engineering Day by highlighting the strength the involvement of women had in teams. “Twenty percent of the participants are women, and we celebrate the complete equality of roles in the teams,” says Race Director, Prof William Megill.
