Fugro Goes Hunting for Hydrocarbon Seeps Offshore Brazil
Working for multi-client geoscience data company TGS, Fugro continues the hunt for hydrocarbon seeps, this time offshore Brazil.Two modern, purpose-built vessels – Fugro Brasilis and Fugro Searcher – have been deployed to acquire high-resolution multibeam echosounder and sub-bottom profiler data in the Campos and Santos Basins.The survey is designed to mirror TGS’s 2016-2017 Gigante and Otos projects in the Gulf of Mexico in which Fugro provided similar services.
Sea Trucks Awarded Contract in Mexico

Aker Solutions Bags BP's Norwegian Contract
Aker Solutions won a framework agreement to provide maintenance and modifications services at BP-operated oil and gas fields offshore Norway. The contract has a fixed period of five years valued at as much as NOK 3.2 billion. It also contains options to extend the agreement by as many as four years. DNV GL for UK Catcher FPSO
BW Offshore selected DNV GL to provide classification, verification and certification services for the Catcher FPSO being deployed in the UK North Sea. DNV GL is already providing similar services to 70% of the FPSOs on the UK shelf and has delivered all the newbuild FPSOs to the sector since 2000. BW Offshore’s scope of supply includes the delivery of an FPSO with a processing capacity of 60,000 bopd and a storage capacity of 650,000 bbl, its mooring system, installation and operation.
