H-100 Gas Turbine Completes Low NOx Testing

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, Ltd. (MHPS) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compressor Corporation (MCO) have completed testing of MHPS’s 2-shaft 120MW H-100 Gas Turbine. The H-100 utilizes the latest combustor technology and is the industry leader in terms of low NOx (single digit ppm) for full-load operations for thermal power plants as well as mechanical drive liquefied natural gas (LNG) applications, utilizing high-efficiency compressors manufactured by MCO.

MHI to buy 5 pct of Areva's NewCo for 250 mln euros

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has reached a general agreement on the terms for making a minority stake investment in a new company (NewCo) to be established by the AREVA Group of France, all-round specialists in nuclear energy. The move follows a formal proposal by MHI to AREVA and ongoing discussions on matters including the investment terms and ownership ratios. Ultimately it has been agreed that MHI will acquire a 5 percent equity stake at an outlay of approximately 250 million euros.

President: Koichi Muto) today announced the naming ceremony of 'LNG Venus', a newbuilding liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier held at the Nagasaki Shipyard of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Siemens, Mitsubishi Challenge GE with Alstom Offer

Germany's Siemens and Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries presented a joint offer to France's Alstom on Monday that included 7 billion euros ($9.5 billion) in cash, challenging a bid by General Electric.
