Statoil: Production Drilling Starts on Mariner

Production drilling has started on the Statoil operated Mariner field in the UK North Sea. Up to five wells will be drilled before the Mariner A platform hook up and commissioning activity starts next summer. Damen MultiCat for Scotmarine

Damen Shipyards Group delivered a Multi Cat 2613 on April 30, 2015 to Orkney, Scotland-based chartering company Scotmarine to be used for offshore tidal activities in Scotland’s Northern Isles. The hull of the new vessel was in stock and customized for the client earlier this year. The 50-metric-ton bollard pull vessel has a large crane and will replace the stock vessel Multi Cat Orcadia Scotmarine purchased three years ago.

Statoil Contracts for Asco

Statoil (U.K.) Limited has on behalf of the Mariner co-venturers awarded the contracts for supply base and warehousing services for the Mariner field to Asco UK Limited. Asco is an international oilfield support services company, headquartered in Aberdeen. The  supply base and warehousing facility for Mariner will be operated  by  Asco  from Peterhead, north of Aberdeen.

Statoil Awards Mariner Contract to Schlumberger

Statoil has on behalf of the Mariner co-venturers awarded the contract for integrated drilling and well services on the Mariner field on the UK continental shelf (UKCS) to Schlumberger Oilfield UK Plc. From its Aberdeen base, Schlumberger will deliver all the main drilling and well services for Mariner, including drilling, completion, electrical submersible pumps (ESPs), cement and fluids.

Fairmount Tugs Delivers FPSO Petrojarl Knarr

Three tugs of Fairmount Marine have towed the brand new FPSO Petrojarl Knarr from South Korea to Norway in just 61 days. Petrojarl Knarr, one of world’s largest floating production and storage units (FPSO) for harsh environments, was delivered in the port of Haugesund, Norway, September 16th 2014. The entire voyage was under command of lead tug master Kees de Graaff on board of the leading tug Fairmount Sherpa.
