All Turbines Installed at East Anglia ONE Offshore Wind Farm

UK Greenlights 1.2 GW Offshore Wind Farm

ScottishPower Renewables, part of Spanish utility Iberdrola, has received planning approval from the British government for a 1.2-gigawatt offshore wind farm off the coast of Norfolk, the firm said on Monday. The so-called East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm will need 172 wind turbines and deliver enough power to meet the annual demand of almost one million homes, the company said.

103 Cranes Ordered for East Anglia ONE Wind Farm

Aberdeen-based Sparrows Group said it has signed a contract to supply 103 cranes for installation at ScottishPower Renewables’ 714 megawatt East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm. Located off the coast of Suffolk, the wind farm will be capable of producing enough electricity to power around 500,000 homes and is anticipated to generate first power in 2019 and be fully-operational by 2020.

VBMS Bags Anglia ONE OWF cabling Deal

Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) announces that its subsidiary VBMS has been awarded a cabling contract with a value of approximately EUR 100 million by ScottishPower Renewables, for the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm. The scope of work for VBMS consists of the supply, installation and burial, as well as termination and testing of 102 66kV inter-array cables.

Van Oord inks Offshore Windfarm Deal

Van Oord has been awarded the contract for East Anglia ONE offshore windfarm by ScottishPower Renewables (part of the Iberdrola Group) for the transport and installation of 102 three-legged jacket foundations. The East Anglia ONE offshore windfarm is located in the southern North Sea,  45 kilometers southeast of the town of Lowestoft, United Kingdom. The offshore wind farm will have 102 Siemens 7 MW wind turbines, with a total capacity of 714 MW.
