2G Robotics Delivers to Oceaneering

(2G Robotics)

2G Robotics delivered two deep-rated ULS-500 subsea laser systems to Oceaneering International, Inc.'s business unit, Oceaneering Survey Services (C&C Technologies), a provider of deepwater seafloor mapping services, subsea surveys and satellite positioning. Including these two ULS-500 systems, Oceaneering now uses six of the ULS-500 systems with its AUVs as part of its advanced survey and inspection services for assessing pipeline and flowline integrity. Oceaneering has been using the ULS-500 since 2013 to perform dynamic flowline and pipeline inspections with its AUVs.

FUGRO Upgrades Offshore Positioning Service

Fugro announced the launch of a further advancement in the field of GNSS augmentation with its high accuracy G2+ service, designed to benefit offshore operators around the globe who require positioning and measurement accuracy at centimeter level. G2+ is an enhancement of Fugro’s G2 service (based on GPS and GLONASS) and utilizes GNSS augmentation algorithms developed in-house. The code and carrier-phase signals transmitted by GPS and GLONASS satellites are monitored globally by Fugro’s worldwide network of reference stations. These observations…

Nautronix to Supply DPR System for Dolphin Drilling Rig

NASNet

Nautronix has secured an order from HHI, Korea to supply a NASNet Dynamic Positioning Reference (DPR ) System which will be used on the Bollsta Dolphin drilling rig. NASNet DPR is a position reference system for Dynamic Positioning that also features the benefits of the NASNet subsea acoustic positioning system and can be used either within pre-installed field-wide NASNet arrays, or as a localized positioning system. According to Nautronix, the system provides robust mitigation against many of the risks associated with both acoustic and satellite positioning systems, allowing multiple users to benefit simultaneously from the same array with no risk of interference.
