Processing Plants at Salamanca Refinery halted

Mexico's state oil company Pemex said on Friday that the processing plants at its Salamanca refinery were out of operation due to an interruption in its steam supply. Pemex Says Restarting Plant at Mexico Refinery

Mexican state oil giant Pemex said on Tuesday that engineers were in the process of restarting a catalytic plant at the company's Salamanca oil refinery. The plant at Pemex's fourth biggest refinery went offline at 5.15 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning, Pemex said in a statement. It was not yet clear whether output had been affected, a Pemex spokesman said.

Pemex: Brush Fire at Salamanca Refinery Contained

Mexico's state oil company Pemex said on Monday that a brush fire at its Salamanca refinery has been contained before it reached any installations or caused any injuries. "On Thursday we restarted the cracker and today it is working completely normally," a Pemex spokesman said. The Salamanca refinery, in central Guanajuato state, is Pemex's fifth largest with a crude processing capacity of 220,000 barrels per day.

The company said on its official Twitter page that there was no fire and the incident was under control. Salamanca Refinery Operations Normal after Outage

Mexico's state-owned oil company, Pemex, said on Friday its Salamanca refinery was operating normally after it was gradually restarted following a power outage late last month. The refinery was forced to shut down on March 30, and the following day engineers began a five-day restart of operations at the installation, a Pemex spokesperson said.
