Sembcorp Marine Bags Offshore Wind and Ferry Projects

MacGregor Wins Davit systems Order for Two SOVs

MacGregor has won davit orders for two low-emission 81m service operation vessels (SOVs) designed to act as 'mother-ships' for wind turbine technicians. The contracts have been placed by Spanish shipyard GONDAN, responsible for the construction of the SOVs. The order was booked in Cargotec's 2016 third quarter order intake. The SOVs have been ordered by Norwegian operator Østensjø Rederi. They will serve UK-headquartered DONG Energy's Race Bank and Project One offshore wind farms in the North Sea.

Pharos Offshore Hires Deepsea Worker

Pharos Offshore Group are in the process of mobilising the newly named DP2 Deepsea Worker with a Work Class ROV, an Observation Class ROV and a subsea excavation spread, ready for 2016/2017 operations. Rosneft, Siemens Ink Partnership Deal

Rosneft and Siemens AG signed a Cooperation and Partnership Agreement. The document was signed by Rosneft Chairman of the Management Board Igor Sechin and Siemens AG Chairman of the Management Board Joe Kaeser. DNV GL Issues RP on Offshore Fiber Ropes

The results of two DNV GL led joint industry projects (JIPs) and a JIP pre-study commissioned by Statoil are now captured in a new Recommended Practice (RP) on offshore fiber ropes. With a system perspective on mooring performance, DNVGL-RP-E305 provides new industry guidance for achieving cost reductions of overall mooring operations, by addressing the engineering, manufacture and integration of offshore fiber ropes.

Subsea operation specialist, Swire Seabed, has placed an order for the acquisition of two Kystdesign Supporter Work-Class Remotely Operated Vehicles (WROVs) with Lidan Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS), for delivery in February 2016.
