Proserv Secures Decommissioning Work in Asia Pacific

Energy services company Proserv has been awarded a series of contracts worth around $4m for its well severance, platform and FPSO decommissioning services in the Asia Pacific region. The contracts have been awarded by Premier Oil in Indonesia; Chevron, through Baker Hughes, in the Gulf of Thailand; BHP, through Fugro, in Western Australia and by PCPP Operating Company, through Sapura Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd in Malaysia.

Energy services company Proserv informs it is investing in a new purpose-built technology center for subsea controls and communications in Great Yarmouth. The move will see around 190 employees consolidate from two sites in the area into the new 65,000 sq ft Beacon Park site in Gorleston-on-Sea which will feature modern office, manufacturing and yard space and provides the flexibility to add a further 20,000 sq ft of workshop capacity.

Proserv said it has formed a strategic partnership with KLAW Products to offer an enhanced field safety service preventing offshore spills in the Middle East. KLAW Products, an oilfield equipment provider, supplies breakaway couplings and emergency release systems for the safe transfer of hazardous and non-hazardous material. Proserv informs it has secured a contract with a value of more than 20 million NOK to provide topside control equipment at one of the largest field discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Proserv Delivers Opening Phase of Record Contract

Proserv has completed the first phase of one of its largest contracts yet to provide subsea control systems for deepwater projects in Brazil. The firm has delivered the initial three of nine control systems that will support drill pipe riser (DPR) intervention services at depths of 2,500 metres. The work forms part of a $40 million deal with a leading oilfield service company.
