Technip, Chemetry Ink eShuttle Technology Deal

Technip and Chemetry have signed an exclusive cooperation agreement for the licensing and engineering of Chemetry’s eShuttle technology for the production of ethylene dichloride (EDC). EDC is a commodity chemical produced worldwide and used primarily for PVC(1) plastic production. The technology significantly lowers energy use, reduces the carbon footprint and improves the safety of the chlor-alkali and EDC industries.

Technip, BTG Bioliquids Ink Biomass-to-Oil Production Deal

Technip announced today that it has signed an exclusive cooperation agreement with BTG BioLiquids B.V. (BTL) to provide EPC(1) services for its modular pyrolysis plants. Technip Acquires BP Chemicals’ Hummingbird

Technip has completed the acquisition of Hummingbird ethanol to ethylene technology from BP Chemicals Ltd. Utilizing a proprietary catalyst operating under mild operating conditions, the technology converts ethanol to ethylene through dehydration. The process uses a wide range of ethanol feedstocks and can easily be integrated into existing ethylene facilities.

Technip Equipment for S. Korean Refinery

Technip was awarded a contract by Daelim Industrial Company to provide proprietary equipment for the world’s first commercial High Severity Fluid Catalytic Cracking (HS-FCCTM) unit. The HS-FCC cracks heavy hydrocarbons into lighter olefins such as propylene and lighter fuels such as gasoline. It will be constructed as part of the expansion of the existing residue conversion facilities at the S-Oil(2) refinery in Onsan, South Korea.

Magnolia LNG Secures FERC Order

Liquefied Natural Gas Limited have stated that its wholly owned subsidiary, Magnolia LNG, LLC (Magnolia LNG), received the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) authorization (FERC Order) to site, construct, and operate facilities to liquefy and export domestically produced natural gas from its liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the Lake Charles District, State of Louisiana, USA.

Technip Technology for Chinese Ethylene Plant

Technip announced today that it has entered into a contract to supply its proprietary ethylene technology, Process Design Package, technical services and proprietary equipment to SP Olefins (Taixing) Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of SP Chemicals(1), for a 650 KTA grassroots gas cracker. Located in Taixing, Jiangsu Province, China, the plant will use low cost ethane and propane from North America.

Technip Awarded Hydrogen Plant Contract

Technip was awarded a contract by Air Products to provide technology, engineering and procurement services for a grassroots hydrogen plant in Baytown, Texas, USA. The 3.5 million standard cubic meters per day plant will produce hydrogen and carbon monoxide (CO) to be supplied to customers from Air Products’ established Gulf Coast Hydrogen and CO Pipeline Networks.

Technip to Supply Reformer for STAR Hydrogen Plant

Technip has been awarded a lump sum contract to supply its proprietary technology, detailed engineering and procurement services for a reformer for a hydrogen plant. The plant is located near the STAR Aegean Refinery to be built in Izmir, Aliaga, Turkey. The reformer, which is the heart of a hydrogen plant, will produce 160,000 Nm3/h(1) of hydrogen product and high quality export steam to be used by the refinery.

CHS Montana Refinery Order for Technip

Technip was awarded a significant(*) contract by CHS Inc.(*) to provide proprietary technology and EPC(*) for a 40 thousand normal cubic meters per hour grassroots hydrogen plant at the CHS Refinery in Laurel, Montana, USA. The plant is part of the company’s ongoing upgrades to boost efficiency, increase diesel production and process additional crudes at its refinery.

Technip Bags Sasol’s Furnace Contract

Technip was awarded by Sasol a contract to provide engineering and procurement for eight proprietary Ultra Selective Conversion (USC®) furnaces (1) for a world-scale ethane cracker and derivatives complex to be located in Lake Charles, Louisiana, USA. The award follows Sasol’s selection of Technip’s proprietary ethylene technology and FEED (2) for the cracker, which will produce an estimated 1.5 million tons per annum of ethylene.

ZeoGas hires Foster Wheeler to Plan Gulf Coast Project

Foster Wheeler AG announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Engineering and Construction Group has entered into a Collaboration Agreement with ZeoGas LLC. In the first instance, Foster Wheeler will support ZeoGas’ final site selection and project planning towards the development of ZeoGas’ first fuels manufacturing plant, to be located on the US Gulf Coast.

Statoil, DNV GL Drive Subsea Factory Interface Standardization

Statoil has entered into an agreement with DNV GL to establish an industrial cooperation to introduce an international industry standard for subsea process technology. DNV GL will lead a joint industry project (JIP) with important subsea operators to find industrial standards which will make it more profitable to develop larger projects with subsea processing technology.

LNG Finalizes Acquisition of Bear Head LNG Project

Liquefied Natural Gas Limited today informed having finalised the acquisition of 100% of Bear Head LNG Corporation (BHLC). This follows the announcement to the ASX by LNGL on 28 July 2014 regarding the signing of an agreement to acquire BHLC from a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation (Anadarko) for US$11.0 million, and the satisfaction of standard closing conditions and consents.
