Advanced Monitoring Proves Its Capabilities Offshore
New monitoring technology developed by RED Engineering has been used for the first time to improve accuracy, speed and safety during the installation of jacket foundations for wind turbines at the Beatrice Offshore Wind Farm Ltd project in the Moray Firth, Scotland. Subsea affiliate of Singapore's Ezra files for U.S. A subsea and offshore contractor affiliate of Ezra Holdings Ltd, a struggling Singaporean oilfield services firm, filed for U.S. bankruptcy as it ran short of cash due to a lingering downturn in the oil-and-gas industry. The affiliate, Emas Chiyoda Subsea Ltd, said in court papers filed in Houston that the company was suffering from weak demand for its subsea contracting work and tightening credit conditions.

Engineering company Red Marine completes latest project at its new test facility. Commissioned by a global offshore contractor, Red Marine has delivered a fast track test program to investigate the friction properties of pipelay component interaction for subsea pipeline installation. Red Marine’s scope included the rapid development and supply of a bespoke test rig to simulate offshore handling and to allow the evaluation of a large number of small scale pipe samples finished with range of surface textures and coatings.
