Danos Hires Rousse in VP Role
Oilfield services company Danos said it has named Daryl Rousse as vice president of production services.The announcement follows Danos’ recent acquisition of Shamrock Energy Solutions, where Rousse served as chief operating officer for three years.Prior to joining Shamrock, Rousse spent 26 years with Royal Dutch Shell, where he worked as the Gulf of Mexico pipeline operations manager for 16 years and later operations readiness and assurance lead for special projects. Additionally, he held the positions of chief operating officer of Odyssey Pipeline Company and president of Ursa Pipeline Company.
“Twisties” to Aid Offshore Wind Logistics
DNV GL launched a new joint industry project (JIP) to develop a Recommended Practice intended to de-risk the adoption of “Twisties” and demonstrate the unitization of wind project cargo. The innovative concept is called “Twisties” - a modular project-cargo transport frame system that is sea-fastened using container twist locks – and which gives the frames their name. The increasing size and quantities of wind turbines installed offshore means that a change in requirements is needed for shipping project cargo between manufacturing and marshalling port facilities, and feeding wind turbine installation vessels offshore.
Women Engineers Play Key Role in Submarine Races
MOre than 100 young people from 11 universities from six countries on three continents gather to take part in the European International Submarine Races.
