Nova Scotia Attracts Tidal Energy Players
Minas Energy said it has entered into a partnership with International Marine Energy Inc (IME) and Tocardo International BV, using Tocardo’s tidal turbines. The new collaboration, Minas Tidal Limited Partnership (MTLP), intends to test Netherland-based Tocardo technology at the Fundy Ocean Resource Centre for Energy (FORCE) in the Minas Passage. MHI Vestas to Provide Turbines for Belgium Wind Farm
MHI Vestas, a joint venture between Vestas and Japan's Mitsubishi Heavy Industries , said on Thursday it would likely supply turbines to Belgium's largest wind farm project. The company, which is now selling the largest and most powerful wind turbines in the world, said it had been selected as a preferred supplier for the 370 megawatt (MW) project in the Belgian North Sea. That amounts to about 46 of its V164-8.0 MW turbines.
Technip Pipes for Libra Pre-salt Field
Technip was awarded a substantial(1) contract from Libra Oil & Gas BV, a consortium led by Petrobras Netherland BV (40%) and partners: Shell (20%), Total (20%), CNOOC (10%) and CNPC (10%). The project includes the supply of flexible pipes for the Libra Extended Well Test field, located in the Santos Basin pre-salt area, Brazil. Technip to Supply Flexible Pipes for Lula Alto Pre-salt Field
Technip was awarded a major(1) contract from Tupi BV, a consortium composed of Petrobras Netherland BV (PNBV, 65%), BG (25%) and Galp (10%), for the ongoing development of the Lula Alto field, located in the Santos Basin pre-salt area, Brazil. This contract covers the supply of around 200 kilometers of flexible pipes and associated equipment, including gas lift, gas and water injection, gas export and production lines.
