Emerson Launches Salinity Measurement System

Emerson Automation Solutions launched the Roxar Salinity Measurement System for the sensitive, accurate and real-time measurement of saline water in gas production well streams at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston this week. Through the new system, operators can instantly identify changes in the flow stream and the smallest amounts of saline water at never previously achieved levels of sensitivity.

Emerson Launches Subsea Wet Gas Meter

Emerson Process Management has launched its next generation Roxar subsea Wetgas Meter for accurate production measurement, reduced risk, and improved flow assurance in gas and gas condensate fields. Hydrates, corrosion, scaling and water coning in the reservoir represent the biggest challenges to offshore gas producers and are all caused by formation water breakthrough into the well. The new meter allows the earliest possible detection of water from gas wells.
