First Aramco Spot Crude Lifting to Chinese Teapot Refiner

Saudi Aramco has sold a crude oil cargo to an independent Chinese refinery, its first spot sale to such a buyer in a sign that the world's biggest exporter is trying to expand beyond its state-owned customers in China, a source with knowledge of the deal said. The 730,000-barrel cargo will be lifted in June from Aramco's storage in Japan's Okinawa prefecture and shipped to China's eastern province of Shandong, the source said.

Statoil Appoints Media Relations Head

Bård Glad Pedersen has been appointed vice president media relations in Statoil. Glad Pedersen will as vice president media relations head the corporate press office and take on the role as corporate spokesperson. He succeeds Jannik Lindbæk jr, who is appointed vice president for the communication unit in Global business service. Glad Pedersen comes from the position as state secretary (deputy minister) in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Statoil Hires PR Spokesman from Foreign Ministry

Bård Glad Pedersen has been appointed Statoil's vice president for media relations, the company said on Friday. "Glad Pedersen comes from the position as state secretary (deputy minister) in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He will join Statoil after having served his potential quarantine leaving his current position," it added.
