GTT Bags Order for Three LNG Carriers, One Bunkering Vessel

GTT announces it has received several orders, since the beginning of the year, for the equipment of three LNG Carriers (LNGCs) and one bunkering vessel. The three LNGCs, offering capacities ranging from 174,000 to 180,000 m3, will be built at Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI)’s. They will be fitted with the membrane containment system Mark III Flex. Their deliveries are expected for 2020. In addition, the latest evolution of the Mark III system, the Mark III Flex+ technology, has been chosen for the equipment of a first LNGC already included in the GTT order book.

Drydocks World's Components for Johan Sverdrup Jacket

Drydocks World has been awarded the contract from Kvaerner to carry out the fabrication of components on the Johan Sverdrup Riser Platform Jacket for end-user Statoil, to be located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Kvaerner won contract from Statoil in January and Drydocks World will carry out the fabrication of pile clusters and floatation tanks including surface protection for the Johan Sverdrup Riser platform jacket. The pile clusters will form the base of the jacket where the structure is piled to the seabed, and the tanks will be used for launching and installation of the jackets on site.

Buamim Addresses Offshore Support Journal Conference

Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World Group and Maritime World participated in the "Annual Offshore Support Journal Conference" held from February 17th to 19th 2015, in London. The conference saw good participation from key global and regional speakers in the marine, maritime and shipping sectors. Drydocks World wins ADIPEC Awards

Drydocks World and Maritime World, the international providers of maritime and offshore services to the shipping, oil, gas, and energy sectors have been awarded the Best Oil & Gas Project Award for outstanding Project Excellence on the SOLAN Project. The gala event was held on the 30th anniversary of Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) at the Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi on November 10 2014. According to ADIPEC officials, the judging panel received 396 participant entries from over 100 companies across 27 countries.

Drydocks World, Q Group Ink Island Resort Contract

Q Group have signed an agreement with Drydocks World to provide a complete range of offshore marine and operational management solutions for the developer’s Great Britain island destination on The World Islands project in Dubai. The Agreement was signed by H.E. Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World, and Safi Qurashi, CEO and Founder of Q Group. Providing high-end technical and operational support to the development of the Great Britain island’s five-star resort and residential destination, Drydocks World will design, engineer and build total marine-based solutions including the utility solutions.

Drydocks World to Repair “High Island IV”

Drydocks World, the international service provider to the shipping, maritime, offshore, oil, gas, and energy sectors, has been chosen to carry out the drydocking and repairs of the jack-up “High Island IV” for Shelf Drilling, one of the major players in the shallow water drilling market, and owners of 40 rigs worldwide. Drydocks World signed an agreement today with Petrofac to build the BorWin3 high voltage direct current (HVDC) converter platform in the North Sea, named BorWin gamma. When completed, this will provide an essential renewable offshore resource to meet increasing energy demands. Kurdish Crude Oil Tankships: End-Game Still in Doubt

After a legal show-down in Texas this week, the outlook for a handful of tankers holding some $300 million worth of Kurdish oil is not looking good. Seemingly unable to find enough buyers willing to take a risk on million-barrel cargoes of disputed crude, the Kurdish authorities are paying over $75,000 a day to keep all three far-flung vessels afloat. Drydocks World to Build Jack-Up Drilling Rigs

Drydocks World, an international service provider to the maritime, oil and gas and energy sectors, announced it has signed an Agreement with Malta Oil & Gas Ltd. for building two unique new jack-up drilling rigs based on Gusto MSC CJ54-X135-A design. The Agreement was signed by His Excellency Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World & Maritime World and Mr. Paul Robert Thomson of Malta Oil & Gas Ltd. Second Modular Capture Vessel for US Operation

Drydocks World announced the completion and delivery of Eagle Louisiana, the second of two Modular Capture Vessels (MCV) for the U.S. The first MCV, Eagle Texas, sailed away from Drydocks World’s yard in August last year. The vessels are the world’s first MCVs. Drydocks World converted the AFRAmax tanker for AET, a global leader in petroleum shipping, which has a 20-year agreement with Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC) for the operation of the MCVs.
