Two sources with knowledge of the situation said that Eurasian Resources Group has declared force majeure for deliveries of cobalt battery material from its Metalkol operations due to the temporary export ban by the Democratic Republic of Congo. ERG is the largest cobalt producer in Congo. This is also the top mineral producing country worldwide for the production of lithium-ion battery powering electric vehicles.
Nvidia sues EU antitrust regulators for investigating AI startup Run:ai

Nvidia, a U.S.-based chipmaker, has sued EU antitrust authorities for accepting an Italian request to examine its acquisition of AI start-up Run:ai last year. They claim they have flouted a previous court ruling that restricted their merger power on minor deals. The case has no impact on the Run:ai merger, which was approved by the EU Competition Watchdog in December of last year. However, a decision that favours Nvidia could further limit the regulator's merger powers.

Vattenfall Wins Dutch 700 MW Offshore Wind Tender

Swedish utility Vattenfall has won the right to build a 700 megawatt (MW) subsidy-free wind farm in the Dutch part of the North Sea, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs said on Monday. The Netherlands' government is among the first to offer a so-called zero subsidy tender for wind power, in which only bids that required no government support could compete for the two 350 MW slots known as Hollandse Kust I and II.
