K Line, FueLNG Team-up on LNG Bunker

Japanese shipping firm Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has announced that it has concluded a ship management agreement with FueLNG Pte Ltd for a 7500 m3 LNG bunkering vessel (LBV).FueLNG will own and operate the vessel, as well as carry out all commercial operations, said K Line press statement.The partnership will combine K Line’s extensive ship management and LNG transportation experience with FueLNG’s LNG bunkering expertise, which includes more than 160 truck-to-ship LNG bunkering operations conducted to-date.

Bahri Profits Up in Q3

The owner and operator of very large crude carriers Bahri announced strong financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2019, on the back of solid growth in the logistics services sector.The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia said that its net profits soared 80.52 percent to SAR 146.73 million (USD 39.12 million), from SAR 81.28 million in the corresponding quarter in 2018, primarily due to an increase in returns of several operating segments.Bahri’s revenues during the three-month period between July and September jumped 6.28 percent to SAR 1.48 billion…

Rhenus Commences Borssele Alpha Supply

Rhenus Offshore Logistics has completed its first supply trip to the 700MW Borssele Alpha offshore platform  in the Dutch North Sea.Rhenus has taken over the complete supply logistics for its customer, HSM Offshore, during the installation work on the Borssele project and is supplying the Borssele Alpha offshore platform with building materials and tools as well as water, food and articles in daily use.Rhenus is providing all the logistics services that are required for the project, including the supply trips, handling at the port, customs clearance and waste disposal.

ExxonMobil Inks Preliminary Wilhelmshaven FSRU Deal

Adnoc Fleet Slashes Carbon Emission 23%

CWT Solar Project in Port of Amsterdam

More than 41,000 solar panels will generate sustainable energy in the Port of Amsterdam for logistics services provider CWT. Spread across five locations, the panels will together form the largest solar project in Amsterdam.In addition to transport and sea shipping operations, CWT is active in the Port of Amsterdam in fields including storage of cocoa and coffee. In order to carry out these activities in a sustainable manner, CWT has opted to use the roofs of its buildings to generate solar power.

C-Innovation Secures Subsea Construction Contract with BP

C-Innovation, LLC (C-I), an affiliate of Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) and its family of companies, has secured a three-year contract with BP Exploration & Production, Inc. (BP), the largest energy investor in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The contract encompasses subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) and logistics services in the Gulf of Mexico. With Port Fourchon, La., serving as the home port, the new contract will bring together ECO’s extensive fleet of multipurpose platform supply and well intervention vessels with C-I’s ROV, tooling, project management and engineering services.

NorSea Opens New MGO Facility in Peterhead

NorSea Group UK (Ltd) has completed Phase I of its multi-million dollar investment at its Shore Base within Peterhead Port with the opening of a new custom-built Marine Gas Oil (MGO) facility on Smith Quay. Two MGO tanks, which hold a combined total of 3000 cu. m.  of fuel, are now operational. This represents an expansion in the range of services currently provided directly to clients by NorSea Group at Peterhead as project support and supply vessels can now be fuelled directly at the quay.

Peterson Wins 5-year Contact to Support BP in Trinidad

An international energy logistics provider Peterson has been awarded a five year contract, with options for further extension, with BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC (BPTT) to provide integrated logistics services for its operations in Trinidad & Tobago. The scope of work includes integrated supply base operations management, logistics control planning and pipe yard operations. This contract will expand Peterson’s footprint in the Caribbean region and builds on the company’s existing long-term relationship with BP, which includes supporting some of its UKCS North Sea operations from Peterson’s Shetland supply base.

Neste to Deliver Low-Sulfur Marine Fuel to Eckerö Line

Neste will begin deliveries of low-sulfur marine fuel to Eckerö Line at the beginning of next year. The agreement covers m/s Finlandia on the Helsinki-Tallinn route throughout 2017. "I am happy that Eckerö Line selected Neste as its partner. The quality of our low-sulfur marine fuel, lower sulfur emissions, and our logistics services convinced Eckerö Line to work with us. Refueling will take place at sea from ship to ship. This eliminates the need for tanker traffic among other cargo in the port area, and increases the safety of fuel distribution," says Panu Kopra, Executive Vice President, Oil Retail at Neste.

CWind, Rotos 360 Running Blade Repair Out of Grimsby

CWind, a  provider of services to the offshore wind industry, and Rotos 360, specialists in wind turbines O&M in onshore and offshore environments, has announced that they are providing blade repair and maritime logistics services working out of the port of Grimsby in the U.K. Rotos 360 is using the Gurit Renuvo UV cured blade repair method for which they achieved DNV GL certification two years ago. This method allows a significant reduction in the amount of time needed for curing thus speeding up the repair process.

Statoil Awards Peterson Offshore Wind Farm Contracts

International energy logistics provider Peterson said it has been awarded two long term contracts with Statoil to provide logistics support for the Dudgeon offshore wind farm located in the Southern North Sea. Peterson will work with the operator to deliver logistics services including stevedoring, ship agency services, provisions delivery and transportation of personnel for walk to work security. Peterson will also be responsible for the supply of fuelling services from its facility in Great Yarmouth.
