Starmer, the UK's ambassador to Berlin, is there for talks on resetting ties with Europe

On Wednesday, British Prime Minister Keir starmer will discuss an economic and defense accord with German leaders. He hopes to use his two-day trip to Europe's leading powers Germany and France as a chance to reset the relationship with the rest. Starmer stated that he wanted Britain move past the previous Conservative Government's fractious relationships with European allies, and place improved ties as the core of his efforts in order to boost Britain's economy.

First Subsea to Cover Formosa 1

UK-based offshore technology services provider First Subsea has delivered beach landing cable protection for three export cables on the 120MW Formosa 1 Phase 2 offshore wind farm in Taiwan.According to the Lancaster-based company, the contract was awarded by  Jan De Nul Group, EPCI contractor for delivery and installation of the project’s cables and foundations.Three systems, each 250m in length were contracted in Feb 2019 and delivered on time at the end of March 2019.

Hurricane Energy Spuds Lincoln Crestal

Production Floaters Orders Are on the Rebound

Output Spike Brightens North Sea's Twilight Years

New oil projects over the next two years in the North Sea will have combined capacity to produce 1.2 million barrels per day (bpd), offsetting a slide in output from the oldest deepwater basin that produces the world's benchmark crude. Hurricane Energy plc announced the spudding of well 205/23-A on 15 January 2017. The recently drilled Lancaster Pilot well (205/21a-7) encountered a minimum oil down to (ODT) of 1,620m TVDSS, indicating that the Lancaster oil accumulation is likely to extend beyond the Lancaster licence boundary. The recently awarded P2308 licence ("Halifax") is contiguous to, and extends north east from, Hurricane's existing Lancaster licence.
