Statoil Awards Offshore Maintenance Contracts

Statoil has awarded two new, long-term contracts with estimated value of NOK 11 billion for insulation, scaffolding and surface treatment services to Beerenberg Corp AS and Prezioso Linjebygg AS. They will provide services to 20 of the company’s 29 installations on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) when the contracts take effect. Carried out on all installations on the NCS, as well as all onshore plants in Norway, these services have ripple effects in many parts of the country.

Statoil Awards NCS Maintenance, Modifications Contracts

Statoil has awarded maintenance and modification agreements worth NOK 24 billion for the company’s installations on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) and for the onshore plants at Sture, Kollsnes, Kårstø and Melkøya. Competition agreements for more complex modification services have also been awarded. Maintenance and modifications are essential for safe and efficient operation of Statoil’s offshore and onshore installations. New compensation formats have been prepared to encourage continuous improvement and higher productivity.

Plan Submitted for Gullfaks Area Development

Statoil and its partners have submitted an amendment to the Plan for Development and Operations (PDO) for the Gullfaks licence to the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy for phase 1 of the Shetland/Lista development. Phase 1 of the development is expected to add 18 million barrels of oil equivalent, and will help increase the resilience of the area for continued operation of the Gullfaks platforms in the North Sea. “Targeted efforts are underway to cut costs and increase the profitability of our projects.

Statoil Submits Plan for Gullfaks Rimfaks Valley

Statoil and its partners have decided to develop the Rutil discovery located in the Gullfaks Rimfaks valley in the North Sea. Providing close to 80 million barrels of oil equivalent, the development will extend the lifetime of the Gullfaks A platform. The new compressor in operation on the Kvitebjørn field in the North Sea from 17 September will increase production there by 220 million barrels of oil equivalent and extend the field’s lifetime with eight years.
