GulfNav Unveils Expansion Plans

Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC (GulfNav), the Dubai-based shipping company, has announced in a press conference at Rose Rayhaan by Rotana today (Tuesday, April 19, 2016), its key expansion plans to increase its assets under management and service-based revenue. The shipping company also revealed the appointment of Mr. Khamis Juma Buamim as the new Board Member, Managing Director and Group CEO by the Board of Directors during the event.

Drydocks World's Components for Johan Sverdrup Jacket

Drydocks World has been awarded the contract from Kvaerner to carry out the fabrication of components on the Johan Sverdrup Riser Platform Jacket for end-user Statoil, to be located in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Kvaerner won contract from Statoil in January and Drydocks World will carry out the fabrication of pile clusters and floatation tanks including surface protection for the Johan Sverdrup Riser platform jacket.

Drydocks World, Maritime World Win ME Electricity Award

Drydocks World and Maritime World, the international service providers to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors have received the award of excellence in the field of HSE (HSE Project / Initiative of the year) award. Drydocks World's to build BorWin3

Drydocks World signed an agreement today with Petrofac to build the BorWin3 high voltage direct current (HVDC) converter platform in the North Sea, named BorWin gamma. When completed, this will provide an essential renewable offshore resource to meet increasing energy demands. Drydocks World has successfully secured the contract for the fabrication, commissioning and load out of the BorWin3 platform, which will transmit electricity from the connected offshore wind farms to the mainland of Germany.

Drydocks World Completes Refurbishment of NDC’s Rig Al Ghallan

Drydocks World, the international service provider to the shipping, maritime, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors, announced the completion of a  major refurbishment carried out on National Drilling Company’s (NDC) Offshore Drilling Rig Al Ghallan. The project is part of a series of four rig repair and refurbishment projects signed with NDC in 2013. Before that, eight projects were completed. The numbers of projects carried out for NDC have progressively increased over the years.

Drydocks World & DMC to build 1st LNG-powered tug

Drydocks World and Dubai Maritime City (DMC), the leading provider of services to the shipping, maritime, oil, gas & energy sector is supporting the "Green Economy for Sustainable Development" initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Drydocks World to Build Jack-Up Drilling Rigs

Drydocks World, an international service provider to the maritime, oil and gas and energy sectors, announced it has signed an Agreement with Malta Oil & Gas Ltd. for building two unique new jack-up drilling rigs based on Gusto MSC CJ54-X135-A design. The Agreement was signed by His Excellency Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World & Maritime World and Mr. Paul Robert Thomson of Malta Oil & Gas Ltd.

Second Modular Capture Vessel for US Operation

Drydocks World announced the completion and delivery of Eagle Louisiana, the second of two Modular Capture Vessels (MCV) for the U.S. The first MCV, Eagle Texas, sailed away from Drydocks World’s yard in August last year. The vessels are the world’s first MCVs. Drydocks World converted the AFRAmax tanker for AET, a global leader in petroleum shipping, which has a 20-year agreement with Marine Well Containment Company (MWCC) for the operation of the MCVs.
