Acteon Inks Deal to Support Philippines LNG Import and Regasification Terminal

Acteon secured an integrated project with Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company (AG&P) for the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification terminal in Batangas Bay, called Philippines LNG (PLNG). Benchamas FSO: InterMoor Completes Work

InterMoor has completed work for the installation of the new Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) facility Benchamas 2 (FSO Benchamas 2). Previously, the Benchamas Explorer FSO, owned and operated by Chevron, was installed in 1999 in Block B8/32 in the Gulf of Thailand. InterMoor Delivers H-Links Connectors for Appomattox FPS

InterMoor, a provider of mooring services, foundation solutions and offshore installations in subsea services group Acteon, completed the delivery of all H-Links connectors for the Appomattox Floating Production System (FPS) mooring lines. The Appomattox facility will be a four-column semi-submersible production platform moored using 16 mooring lines arranged in 4x4 clusters, in 2,255m (7,400ft) of water approximately 130km (80 miles) offshore Louisiana. The platform will become Shell’s largest floating platform in the Gulf of Mexico.

Senior Appointments at First Marine Solutions

First MarineSolutions (FMS) said it has made two senior appointments to bolster its global growth plans. InterMoor Upgrades its Port Açu Facility in Brazil

InterMoor said it has added inspection and testing capabilities to its marine base at the Açu Superport in São João da Barra, northern Rio de Janeiro. Open from June 2014, InterMoor’s Port Açu facility is located on a 52,300-m2 site with a 90-m quayside, a 10-m operational draft and a back storage area of 580 m2. With the recent developments, the base now boasts a 1,000-ton test bed and can perform load and breaking test for chain, wire rope and mooring accessories up to 800t SWL.

InterMoor Opens New Facility in Norway

IOS InterMoor, an Acteon company, has opened its new mooring base in Fensfjord, Norway near Bergen to serve oil and gas rigs operating in the most active area of the North Sea, such as the Troll field, the Statfjord and Gullflaks fields, and the new Johan Sverdrup field. Located on the Wergeland Base in Sløvågen, the facility will cater to all requirements for mooring equipment storage, supply, inspection and maintenance for IOS InterMoor and its customers.

InterMoor Awarded SPM Installation from PT Pertamina

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has been awarded a Single Point Mooring (SPM) installation from PT Pertamina in Indonesia. The work is part of a contract for engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of Subsea Pipe Line (SPL) and Single Point Mooring (SPM) awarded to a consortium comprised of Indonesian EPC company PT.Rekayasa Industri and InterMoor Pte. The award will contribute to the expansion of Pertamina’s refinery in Balongan, West Java.

InterMoor said it has completed the final tensioning and chain cutting operations on the FPSO Turritella for the Shell Stones project, located in the Walker Ridge protraction area in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM). The FPSO Turritella will connect to subsea infrastructure located beneath approximately 9,500 ft (2,896 m) of water, breaking the existing water depth record for an oil and gas production facility. This ultra-deepwater project marks the first FPSO for Shell in the GoM, and the second FPSO in the GoM.

InterMoor Appoints Bolatiwa as Nigeria GM

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has appointed Folabi Bolatiwa as general manager in Nigeria. Bolatiwa will be responsible for overseeing the company’s continued growth in the region. InterMoor provides integrated solutions that include the design, provision and installation of both temporary and permanent moorings, as well as customized foundation and subsea installation and recovery services. The company has worked in West Africa for more than 10 years, and has bases in Luanda and Malongo in Angola.

Rapid Mooring Support in the Gulf of Mexico

Subsea services provider InterMoor Inc. provided Anadarko Petroleum Corporation with rapid hook-up services for its Heidelberg truss spar in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico after stepping in at short notice for another contractor. The company hooked up the 80,000 bbl/d spar to three mooring lines in Green Canyon block 860, offshore Louisiana, at a water depth of 5,300 ft (1,600 m). The project’s original contractor then resumed the job and completed the remaining six mooring lines along with the completion of the spar installation.

InterMoor Completes Juniper Contract Off Trinidad and Tobago

InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company, has completed its role in the largest foundation installation project offshore Trinidad and Tobago to date. The final stage of the project involved hooking up Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc.’s Ocean Victory semisubmersible drilling rig to the preset mooring spread InterMoor had previously installed. This step marks the completion of InterMoor’s mooring and foundation installation campaign for BP Trinidad and Tobago’s (bpTT) Juniper gas project.

Offshore Mooring Replacement Completed

InterMoor Inc., an Acteon company and part of its foundations and moorings business, finished replacing critical components in an FPU mooring system offshore Equatorial Guinea on schedule, enabling the prime contractor, Boskalis, to expand the InterMoor work scope. The original contract covered replacing old mooring chains and wire ropes for eight of the 12 mooring lines along with two drag anchors on Mobil Equatorial Guinea Inc.’s (MEGI’s) Zafiro Producer floating production unit.

InterMoor Completes Angolan Offshore Contract

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has successfully completed offshore operations for the disconnection and laydown of risers and mooring lines on a major floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility offshore Angola.
