Acteon Inks Deal to Support Philippines LNG Import and Regasification Terminal

Acteon secured an integrated project with Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company (AG&P) for the development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and regasification terminal in Batangas Bay, called Philippines LNG (PLNG). The contract was signed and will be managed by the Acteon Integrated Solutions (AIS) team.The project scope for AIS includes the local transportation and installation of jacket structures to form the LNG berth; these structures will vary across the construction site and will include approach trestles, mooring and berthing dolphins, and associated furniture such as walkways, fenders and mooring hooks.

Acteon Team to Manage Installation on Calvados Offshore Wind Farm

Acteon won an integrated project with Saipem for casing installation and drilling support on the Calvados offshore wind farm (Courseulles-sur-Mer). The contract was signed by LDD, a product and service line brand in the Acteon foundations and cables segment, and will be managed by the Acteon integrated solutions (AIS) team.The Calvados development is a 450-MW offshore wind farm under construction near Caen, France, and is being developed by Éolien Maritime France (a consortium including EDF Renewables, EIH S.à.r.l, a subsidiary of Enbridge Inc., CPP Investments) and wpd.

Ship managers Synergy Group converted a 1992-built, 126,000 cubic meters capacity Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier into a Floating Storage Unit (FSU). The conversion was performed at Sembcorp Marine’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore.Synergy will manage, maintain and operate the FSU, which has a projected lifespan of 15 years. Stork Worley JV Wins Neptune Energy Gig

Services company Schlumberger said on Monday it has renewed and expanded its agreement with Google Cloud to develop cloud-native exploration and production (E&P) applications to help its customers derive actionable insights from data and harness the power of Google’s cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.Schlumberger has deployed its oil and gas petrotechnical software suite, including WesternGeco Omega geophysical data processing platform and Software Integrated Solutions DELFI cognitive E&P environment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to perform seismic processing, interpretation and subsurface modeling.

Carlyle Group Acquires EnerMech from Lime Rock Partners

Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group announces that it has agreed to acquire EnerMech Group Ltd, an international services company providing critical asset support to the energy, infrastructure and industrials sectors, from Lime Rock Partners.The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2018, subject to customary anti-trust and regulatory approvals.Equity for this investment will come from Carlyle International Energy Partners (CIEP), a $2.5 billion fund that invests in the global oil and gas sector outside North America. The Fund’s mandate includes exploration & production, mid-stream, downstream and oil field services.

Senior Appointments at First Marine Solutions

First MarineSolutions (FMS) said it has made two senior appointments to bolster its global growth plans. Dave McGinlay and Paul Crichton join the Aberdeen based mooring services provider as Business Development Director and Sales and Marketing Manager, respectively. McGinlay joins FMS having held key roles within the oil and gas sector for over ten years. Most recently, he was Business Development Manager at InterMoor (part of Acteon Group),identifying market opportunities and ensuring mooring equipment was utilized to meet the requirements of global rig companies and operators.

TechnipFMC bags Energean Karish Field contract

TechnipFMC has been awarded an iEPCITM (integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contract by Energean Oil & Gas for the Karish full field development, located offshore Israel at a water depth of 1,750 meters. This award extends our iEPCITM offering from seabed to offshore producing facility. The execution of this iEPCITM contract covers the design, procurement, construction and installation of the complete subsea system, a Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit (FPSO) designed to allow the subsequent tie-back of the Tanin field, the pipeline system, and the onshore pipeline and valve station at the receiving station.

Schlumberger, Subsea 7 Mull Oil Services JV

Schlumberger, the world's largest oilfield services firm, and smaller peer Subsea 7 said on Friday they were entering exclusive talks to form a joint venture to deliver subsea installations and services for oilfields. The news lifted Subsea 7 shares on hopes the talks could be the first step towards a full takeover, in a sector that has already seen consolidation with the 2016 merger of Technip and FMC Technologies. In recent months, oil firms have returned to profits due to higher oil prices and the benefits of deep cost cuts they made during the downturn. But their suppliers are still feeling the squeeze and trying to cope with low profitability.

BOURBON to Install Mooring for Floating Wind Turbine

French offshore marine services company BOURBON said it has been awarded a contract for the mooring installation of the first floating wind turbine in France at the experimental test site of SEM-REV managed by Ecole Centrale de Nantes (ECN), in the context of European project FLOATGEN. The mooring installation will take place during summer 2017 based on a method jointly established by BOURBON and Ideol’s engineering teams in collaboration with the Ecole Centrale de Nantes. The wind turbine will be installed at the SEM-REV site near Le Croisic, France, by the end of the year.

APM Terminals JV Inks AP Solar Project Deal

APM Terminals Inland Services, South Asia has signed a contract with Mahindra Susten to provide exclusive Third Party Logistics (3PL) services in India for an upcoming 260 mw solar power project in Andhra Pradesh (AP). The 3PL offering will provide an integrated logistics management solution to Mahindra Susten for the two thousand nine hundred TEU containers of solar panels being imported from China to India through the Port of Chennai. The solar panels will be transported to Gani village in the interiors of Andhra Pradesh to set up a solar power plant.
