China: BP, ENN Sign 300,000t a Year Gas Supply Deal

British oil major BP has signed a gas supply agreement with China's ENN Group (ENN) for the supply of 300,000 tonnes per year of pipeline gas re-gasified from LNG for two years from January 1, 2021, in Guangdong, China. Woodside Inks 20-year Gas Supply Deal

Woodside Petroleum Ltd, Australia's biggest listed oil and gas explorer, said on Tuesday it had signed a 20-year gas supply deal with Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers Pty Ltd.The agreement is to supply about 125 TJ of gas per day for use in Perdaman's proposed urea plant, and gas will be primarily sourced from Woodside's proposed Scarborough development, the company said in a statement.The agreement follows a memorandum of understanding between the companies signed in April."This is

Gazprom Signs 5-year Gas Supply Deal with Slovenia

Russian gas giant Gazprom said on Friday it has signed a 5-year gas supply deal with Slovenia. The deal is valid from Jan. 1, 2018 to Jan. 1, 2023, with supply volumes set at 600 million cubic metres of gas per year. MET International Plans to Boost LNG Trades

Switzerland-based MET International AG plans to boost its liquefied natural gas (LNG) trades in Europe by 50 to 100 percent next year, the company's chief executive said on Tuesday. Gyorgy Vargha said that while the company had traded one cargo, or 60,000 tonnes of LNG, per month this year, this is expected to rise to between 1.5 and two cargoes per month in 2018 as MET seeks to increase its role in that segment.

Gazprom Inks 10-yr Gas Supply Deal with Croatia's PPD

Russian gas giant Gazprom has signed a 10-year deal with Croatia's Prvo Plinarsko Drustvo (PPD) to supply it with 1 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas per year, Gazprom Export said on Friday. Serbia Should Rework Gazprom Gas Deal

Serbia should renegotiate its long-term gas supply deal with Russia's Gazprom to align it with European gas market rules, a body in charge of extending the EU's energy policy to would-be member states said on Monday. In 2011 Serbia agreed to a 10-year deal to import natural gas from Gazprom at a discounted price under which Gazprom will deliver 5 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas per year to Serbia, or more than double its current annual needs.

S.Korea Backs US Shale Gas Imports, Investment

South Korea stepped up a push on Friday to encourage its oil and gas companies to invest in U.S. shale gas projects, amid expectations that more opportunities will arise under a Trump administration. Asia's fourth-largest economy is the world's second-largest buyer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) after Japan, importing about 30 million tonnes a year through state-run Korea Gas Corp (KOGAS).

Eni Inks Gas Supply Deal with Sonatrach

Italian oil and gas group Eni said on Tuesday it had reached an agreement with Algeria's Sonatrach over gas supplies for the gas year 2016-2017. No financial details were provided. GNiG Inks Gas Supply Deal with Grupa Azoty

Poland's state-run gas company PGNiG signed a deal to deliver natural gas to state-controlled chemical firm Grupa Azoty worth about 3.3 billion zlotys ($870.09 million) over the next three years, PGNiG said in a statement. PGNiG, which imports most of the gas it sells from Russia's Gazprom and accounts for 60 percent of Azoty's gas consumption, said the total volume of the gas to be delivered as part of the deal will reach up to 4.5 billion cubic metres (bcm).

Ukraine, Russia Ink New Gas Supply Deal

Ukrainian state energy firm Naftogaz and Russia's Gazprom have signed a deal on Russian gas supplies to Ukraine for the winter period and Kiev has already started gas imports, Ukraine's energy minister said in Monday. Volodymyr Demchyshyn said Ukraine planned to increase gas in underground storage to up to 18 billion cubic metres (bcm) in the coming weeks from the current level of 15.8 bcm. NOVATEK, NLMK Ink Gas Supply Deal

OAO NOVATEK and NLMK Group signed five-year natural gas supply contracts. The contracts envisage overall supply of 2.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas per annum starting from 1 January 2016 and fully cover the needs of all Russian entities of NLMK. European Commission, Russia, Ukraine in Gas Supply Deal

The European Commission, Russia and Ukraine initialled a deal to ensure gas supplies for Kiev until March next year, but did not sign it. The initialling followed around five hours of talks in Brussels between Maros Sefcovic, European vice president responsible for energy, and the Ukraine and Russian energy ministers. Gazprom, LUKOIL Ink Gas Supply Deal

At the meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee and Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL held today issues relating to the General Agreement on Strategic Partnership were addressed placing emphasis on Gazprom’s gas purchases from LUKOIL in the long run. At the end of the meeting the parties inked an addendum to the contract for gas supply from LUKOIL fields in the Bolshekhetskaya Depression, stipulating gas amounts for 2017 to 2024.

Russia, China May Develop Floating Nuclear Power Plants

Russia and the world's top energy user China may jointly develop six floating nuclear power plants (NPPs), Russia's nuclear export body said on Tuesday, a further joint energy project since the signing of a $400 billion gas supply deal. Rusatom Overseas, the export branch of state nuclear reactor monopoly Rosatom, said it signed a memorandum of understanding with China on the development of floating NPPs from 2019.

Statoil Expands Gas Supply Deal with Britain's SSE

Norway's Statoil said on Monday it had expanded five-fold a long-term gas sale agreement with Britain's second-biggest utility SSE. From Oct. 1, Statoil will increase supplies to SSE to 2.5 billion cubic metres (bcm) per year from an original 0.5 bcm under a six-year deal announced last year, the company added in a statement. "The agreement with SSE is another confirmation of Statoil's position as a long-term reliable supplier of gas to the UK," the company said in a statement.

British utility SSE has signed a six-year gas supply deal with Norway's Statoil for 500,000 therms of gas a day, SSE said in a statement on Friday. The contract, which will start on Oct. 1 2015 ammounts to around 6 percent of SSE's average daily gas demand, the company said. Chinese Premier to Attend Europe Summit, sign Russia Energy Deal

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will attend a summit of European and Asian leaders on a trip starting next week that will also include a visit to Germany and the signing of energy and high-speed rail deals with Russia, the government and state media said. Li's Oct. 9-16 swing through the continent is the second this year, and culminates in the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit in the Italian city of Milan, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Russia Inks Deals with China

Russia and China signed energy, finance and trade deals on Monday hailed by Moscow as evidence a policy turn towards Asia will help it weather Western sanctions imposed over the Ukraine crisis. The agreements, signed during a visit to Moscow by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, built on moves by President Vladimir Putin to look east for business and financing that are now out of bounds in the United States and the European Union.

Russia Gas Deal Must Include Kiev Debts

Russia will be ready to negotiate a new gas supply deal with Ukraine if it includes Kiev's gas debt payments to Russian producer Gazprom, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told Rossiya-24 television on Friday. European Commission Vice President Maros Sefcovic said earlier on Friday that there was no need for him to negotiate a new gas deal between Moscow and Kiev and that sales to Ukraine could from April be based on the existing contract.
