Gazprom Oil Touch 100mln Barrels at Badra

Russian oil producer Gazprom Neft said that its subsidiary Gazpromneft-Badra has now produced 13.5 million tonnes — or 100 million barrels — of oil in Iraqi oil field.Cumulative production at the Badra field in the five years since this asset went into commercial operation has reached 100 million barrels — the first shipment of liquid hydrocarbons having taken place in 2014. Norway Eyes Offshore Wind to Power Gas Plant

Norwegian gas system operator Gassco and Canadian energy firm Enbridge are working on reviving a 350 megawatt (MW) offshore wind project to boost power supply security at Norway's Nyhamna gas processing plant, they told Reuters.The project, which would be the country's first offshore wind farm, is called Havsul 1 and was fully licensed by Norwegian energy regulators in 2009 before being abandoned in 2012 due to profitability concerns and insufficient subsidies.Nyhamna is one of Norway's biggest gas processing plants, handling output from Shell's Ormen Lange field.

Testing of Forties North Sea Pipeline Underway

Britain's Forties oil and gas pipeline, one of the biggest in the North Sea, was repaired over Christmas, its operator Ineos said on Monday, adding that it was testing the pipeline and full flows should resume in early January. "The repair of the pipeline ... is now mechanically complete and pressure testing is well under way," Ineos said in a statement. "A small number of customers are now sending oil and gas through the pipeline at low rates as part of a coordinated plan that allows Ineos to carefully control the flow and pressure in the system".

Fire at Enterprise Pascagoula Plant being Investigated

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE: EPD) is investigating the cause of a fire that occurred yesterday at its natural gas processing facility in Pascagoula, Mississippi. There were no injuries nor impacts to the surrounding community and the fire was restricted to inside the facility. The situation is under control and the plant has been shut down. Enterprise personnel have been working closely with local emergency responders and the company has notified all appropriate regulatory authorities. The Pascagoula plant receives natural gas from third party pipelines.

Gazprom Actively Pursuing East Russian Projects

During the Press Conference held today held at the Company's headquarters prior to the annual General Shareholders Meeting the press was informed that Gazprom is actively implementing large-scale projects in eastern Russia. It was stated that the Company is committed to expanding its resource base. With geological exploration at the Chayandinskoye field – the basis for the Yakutia gas production center – nearly over, the field is ready for development. As part of the Sakhalin III project, geological exploration has been completed within the boundaries of the Yuzhno-Kirinskoye field.

Dana Gas Begins Production From Zora Field

Dana Gas, a Middle East’s  regional private sector natural gas company, has announced that sales gas production commenced on February 28, 2016 from the Zora Gas Field. Initial project startup was achieved on January 14, 2016 with early gas supplies being intermittent as the gas plant was being fully commissioned. Dana Gas Profit Up 15%

Dana Gas PJSC, the Middle East's leading publicly listed natural gas company, today reported its preliminary unaudited financial results for the year ended 31 December 2015. The Company’s full year net profit increased 15% to $144 million (AED528 million), compared to $125 million (AED457 million) in 2014. The Company reported Gross Revenues and Gross Profit of $417 million (AED1.5 billion) and $126 million (AED463 million) respectively, down from $683 million (AED2.5 billion) and $303 million (AED1.1 billion) for the full year 2014.

Statoil Submits Plan for Gullfaks Rimfaks Valley

Statoil and its partners have decided to develop the Rutil discovery located in the Gullfaks Rimfaks valley in the North Sea.
