GAC Opens Offices in Harwich & Ramsgate

Gulf Agency Company (GAC),  a global provider of shipping, logistics, and marine services, has opened two new branches, in Harwich and Ramsgate, to meet the increased demand in oil, gas and renewables work in the South of England.Both locations are actively servicing projects within their areas, and their addition to the GAC UK network of offices further strengthens its focus on providing its energy customers with round-the-clock local knowledge and expertise.The port of Harwich is fast becoming a hot spot for renewable projects with development underway on a state-of-the-art operations and maintenance base for Galloper Offshore Wind Farm.

GAC Supports Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Project

GAC UK has been appointed by Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) to provide essential shipping services support for the construction and installation of 84 new turbines as part of a major windfarm expansion project which will increase generating capacity almost six-fold. SHL, the engineering, procurement, construction and installation contractor, will design, supply and install the piled foundations, jacket substructures and inter-array cables for the Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Limited (BOWL) project in the Outer Moray Firth. They will also transport and install the offshore substations.

New Storage Facility in Portland, UK

A unique storage facility adjacent to one of the busiest shipping trade routes in the world is soon to become available. Since 2001, Portland Port located on the south coast of the UK has leased its bunker storage, pipeline and berth facility to Aegean Marine Petroleum Network. Later this year the facility will return back to the open market with the opportunity for a new tenant to occupy and manage the facility. The tanks were fully refurbished by Aegean who also built a new jetty to receive tanker deliveries; the facility has since been professionally managed and maintained to a high standard.

N-Sea Offshore Ltd. Signs Deal with GAC

Integrated subsea infrastructure services provider N-Sea Offshore Ltd. has appointed GAC Shipping U.K. as its ship agent for vessels supporting its operations for the oil and gas and renewable energy industries in the North Sea. Under the agreement, GAC will provide a package of support services for vessels chartered by N-Sea calling at U.K. ports.
