Exxon Starts Drilling at Offshore Guyana Projects

Exxon Mobil Corp said it has commenced development drilling in the first of three offshore Guyana projects, which could produce more than 500,000 barrels of oil per day. ExxonMobil's Canada Offshore Project Produces First Oil

The Hebron oil project off the coast of eastern Canada has produced its first oil, operator Exxon Mobil said on Tuesday, in a boost to Atlantic Canada's output after years of weak crude prices. At its peak Hebron will produce up to 150,000 barrels per day (bpd), Exxon said. It will help Atlantic Canada offshore production climb 44 percent to 307,000 bpd by 2024, according to estimates from the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. ExxonMobil Starts Production in GoM's Julia Field

Oil production has started ahead of schedule at the Julia oil field in the Gulf of Mexico, Exxon Mobil Corporation said today. The first production well is now online and a second well will start production in the coming weeks. The Julia development is located approximately 265 miles southwest of New Orleans in water depths of more than 7,000 feet. The initial development phase uses subsea tie-backs to the Chevron-operated Jack/St. Malo production facility, reducing the need for additional infrastructure and enhancing capital efficiency.

ExxonMobil starts Banyu Urip CPF

ExxonMobil announced today the successful and safe startup of the onshore central processing facility at the Banyu Urip field in Indonesia, helping increase production to more than 130,000 barrels of oil per day. With the central processing facility now online, production will continue to increase in the coming months. Exxon Mobil Corporation announced today  the production at its Kearl oil sands expansion project in Alberta, Canada, started ahead of schedule and is expected to double overall capacity to 220,000 barrels of bitumen a day. Cold Lake Expansion Starts Production on Schedule

Exxon Mobil Corporation announced today that bitumen production began on schedule at the $2 billion Cold Lake Nabiye project expansion in northeastern Alberta, Canada. The expansion is producing about 20,000 barrels per day and volumes are expected to increase during the year to peak daily production of 40,000 barrels. ExxonMobil Begins Production at Kizomba

Exxon Mobil Corporation announced today that its subsidiary, Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Limited (Esso Angola), has started oil production ahead of schedule at the Kizomba Satellites Phase 2 project offshore Angola. Kizomba Satellites Phase 2 is a Block 15 subsea infrastructure development of the Kakocha, Bavuca and Mondo South fields. Mondo South is the first field to begin production, and the other two satellite fields are expected to start up in the coming months. The project develops approximately 190 million barrels of oil with peak production currently estimated at 70,000 barrels of oil per day.

ExxonMobil announced today that it has resumed drilling at Point Thomson on Alaska’s North Slope as construction continues toward bringing the initial production system online. “The Point Thomson field is a vital part of unlocking Alaska’s North Slope gas resources,” said Jim Flood, ExxonMobil Development Company’s arctic vice president. DNV GL Project Addresses Subsea Structural Well Integrity

DNV GL inform that they are leading a broad industry collaboration to address structural well integrity. Fatigue loading on subsea wellhead systems from riser and rig motions has been subject to increased attention in recent years. In an effort to enhance how the offshore industry is carrying out wellhead fatigue assessments, 16 operators are now progressing with a second phase of a Joint Industry Project (JIP). Their goal is to develop a Recommended Practice (RP) to complement current codes and standards and improve methodology to assess the integrity of an important well barrier.
