Offshore Achievement Award for TWMA

Global integrated drilling waste management and environmental services firm, TWMA, has won the Export Achievement Award at this year’s Offshore Achievement Awards. The award recognises the company’s significant business growth resulting from successful export activity in the oil and gas and energy sector. Winners were announced at a prestigious awards ceremony last night at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. Oil Sands Producers Promise Steps to Cut Pollution

Canada's largest oil sands producers on Tuesday pledged to make their crude less polluting than conventional oil by cutting water use and lowering energy consumption, as environmental protesters move to block new pipelines to ship the product abroad. Speaking at a meeting held by the Canadian Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA), an industry group that shares environmental technology among its 13 members, Suncor Energy Inc Chief Executive Steve Williams said his company alone has spent nearly C$2 billion ($1.8 billion) on technologies to reduce toxic tailings.

Foster Wheeler Wins Contract For Retrofit-SCR System

Foster Wheeler AG (Nasdaq: FWLT) announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract by Turun Seudun Energiantuotanto Oy (TSE) for the design, supply and erection of a retrofit-selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system for TSE’s Naantali unit 3 in Finland. Foster Wheeler has received a full notice to proceed on this contract. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and the contract value will be included in the company’s bookings for the second-quarter of 2014. Commercial operation of the SCR system is scheduled for October 2015.
