GFS Storage Tanks Aid Green Energy Growth

Balmoral Tanks’ 150,000sqft design and manufacturing facility in South Yorkshire, UK, where the new range of tanks will be produced.

Balmoral Tanks introduced a new range of glass fused to steel (GFS) liquid storage tanks, part of the company’s portfolio of storage tanks for the water, wastewater, anaerobic digestion and processing markets.The development follows a $20m+ investment in manufacturing facilities at its South Yorkshire facility.“International markets require technology which allows their economy to thrive while being mindful of the impact on the environment,” said Allan Joyce, MD at Balmoral Tanks.

Trelleborg Wins Contract for Johan Sverdrup Oil Field

Trelleborg’s engineered products operation has announced it has been awarded a contract for the supply of elastomeric bearings to Statoil’s Johan Sverdrup oil field, Norway's largest offshore development in the past three decades. Trelleborg Bears Weight of Largest Ever Offshore Facility

Trelleborg’s engineered products operation has supplied a selection of bearing solutions for the world's first floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project – Shell’s Prelude FLNG. Trelleborg Wins Floatover Installation Contract for BorWin3

Trelleborg’s engineered products operation announces it has been awarded a contract by Petrofac for its first floatover installation of an offshore converter platform - BorWin3 wind farm project. The high voltage direct current (HVDC) converter station will sit nearly 130 kilometers off the German coast in the North Sea. Siemens will supply the HVDC transmission technology, while consortium partner, Petrofac will be responsible for the construction and installation of the platform.

Sparrows Group has expanded its reach in the Middle East after forming a local partnership with Zamil Group in Saudi Arabia. The strategic alliance will see Sparrows Group’s full range of services being offered through the Zamil Group. Sparrows Group Breaks into Malaysian Market

Sparrows Group has expanded into the Malaysian market after forming a strategic partnership with a local service provider in the region, Efficient Technology Sdn Bhd (Eftech), as part of the company’s  plans to treble business in Asia Pacific over the next five years. As part of the country-wide agreement, Sparrows Group will offer services such as offshore crane maintenance, crane hire, fluid power, inspection and cable and pipe lay products which are in particularly high demand in the region.

Trelleborg Provides Floatover Tech to Project in West Africa

Trelleborg’s engineered products operation has completed its supply of floatover equipment for Phase 3 of the DSO Escravos Gas Project; the operation’s first floatover in West Africa. Contracted by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), Trelleborg provided Leg Mating Unit (LMU) pads for the floatover process, as well as surge fenders, shock pads and rubstrips to constitute the project’s boat landing systems. BMT Wins Angola FPSO Maintenance Contract

BMT Scientific Marine Services (BMT), a subsidiary of the BMT Group  has been selected by Esso Angola to provide maintenance services for systems installed on the two Kizomba Tension Leg Platforms (TLP) offshore Angola. BMT previously installed integrated marine monitoring systems (IMMS) on the TLP and Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) facilities on both developments, as well as subsea riser tension monitoring systems. This contract allows BMT to provide servicing and maintenance on system instrumentation exposed to offshore conditions and ensure continued function and accurate data.

Saipem Awards BMT Pre-Salt Riser Monitoring Contract

BMT Scientific Marine Services (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, has been selected by Saipem to supply the riser integrity monitoring systems for the Lula Norte and Lula Extremo Sul developments in the Santos Basin Pre-Salt Region, Brazil’s largest sedimentary basin. Riser integrity monitoring systems measure bending moments and tensile forces in risers in order to provide end users with an understanding of the risers' condition. Data from these systems are then used to verify riser design models, ultimately leading to long-term improvements in riser design.

Shell Awards Maintenance Contract to BMT

Shell has selected BMT Asia Sdn Bhd (BMT) to provide three-year maintenance services for a production storage facility offshore Malaysia. Sister company, BMT Scientific Marine Services previously installed Marine Instrumentation Systems (MIS) and Marine Advisory Systems (MAS) on the platform. This contract allows the organization to provide servicing and maintenance on MIS/MAS instrumentation exposed to the offshore marine environment, in order to ensure that components remain functional and provide accurate data.
