France's Total Extends British Shale Gas Involvement

French oil major Total has extended an option with British shale gas developer Egdon Resources to buy a stake in one of Egdon's shale gas licences, the companies said on Tuesday. Egdon said in a statement Total had agreed on an option to farm in to its PEDL209 exploration licence in Lincolnshire by Dec. 31, 2018, which would earn it a 36 percent interest. Total's previous option on the licence had lapsed.

Europa – Farm-Out of Holmwood, Weald Basin

The wholly owned subsidiary of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, UK and Ireland focussed exploration, development and production company announced that its  has signed a Farm-Out Agreement (`FOA') in relation to a 12.5% interest in the PEDL143 licence in the Weald Basin with a wholly owned subsidiary of Angus Energy PLC (‘Angus’). Europa will retain a 20% interest in PEDL143 where a well targeting the 5.6 mmbo conventional Holmwood prospect (‘Holmwood’) is anticipated to be drilled in 2017.

Europa Completes Sale of Wressle Discovery Interest

Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, the AIM traded oil and gas exploration, development and production company focused on Europe, informed that its proposed sale of a 3.34% working interest in PEDLs 180 and 182 (‘the Licences’) in North Lincolnshire to Union Jack Oil plc (‘UJO’) for a cash consideration of £600,000 (‘the Transaction’) has been approved by the Oil and Gas Authority (‘OGA’). Egdon Raises North Yorkshire Stake

Egdon Resources plc (AIM:EDR) has reached agreement to acquire an additional 20% interest in Petroleum Exploration and Production Licence PEDL068 from DESS Energy Limited (“DESS”) bringing our total interest to 68%. Egdon is operator of PEDL068 which is located in the Cleveland Basin of North Yorkshire. This transaction follows DESS’ acquisition of Sterling Resources (UK) Limited’s 47% interest in the licence.
