Hydrogen has been making big headlines in the energy world. It’s one of the potential routes to deliver high density energy to transport and heavy industry – but also to marine applications, as well as a way to move and store renewable energy. Various uncrewed surface vessel (USV) developers, autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) builders and even subsea power…

UK Motorists Should Thank Ali Naimi

Britain's motorists have Saudi oil minister Ali al-Naimi to thank as the country's supermarkets cut the price of petrol to less than one pound per litre for the first time in six years. Britain's Oil Demand is Growing Again -Kemp

UK petroleum consumption is growing at some of the fastest rates for a decade, as strong economic growth and cheaper fuel prices spur increased use. The average retail price of gasoline across the United States was just $2.53 per gallon on Monday, including federal, state and local taxes, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Efficiency Mandates to Cap Recovery in Oil Demand

Lower prices should help stimulate oil consumption in advanced economies, restoring some of the demand lost over the last decade, as the cost of crude soared from less than $50 to more than $100 per barrel. In the late 1980s and through the 1990s, strong growth in demand played a crucial role in rebalancing the market after the slump caused by the two oil shocks in the 1970s.

US Safety Watchdog's Oil Train Plan 'Infeasible' -Refiners

The leading voice for the refining sector on Thursday said it was not realistic for U.S. regulators to expect existing oil train tankers to be retired within five years, and sought a meeting with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
