Wood Secures Major Contracts in Abu Dhabi

Wood Group Bags Hess Contract in Malaysia

Wood Group has been awarded a five year contract with Hess Exploration & Production Malaysia. The operations and maintenance contract is to support Hess' new-build fixed and floating offshore facilities in the North Malay Basin development area located approximately 150km north east of the Peninsular Malaysia, and includes a one-year extension option. Delivered by Wood Group's Kuala Lumpur office, the contract will support up to 130 new full-time positions in Malaysia.

Wood Maintenance Workers Back Strike on Shell Platforms

As many as seven of Royal Dutch Shell's North Sea platforms could be hit by the first strike action in the basin in 10 years after Wood Group employees working on the facilities voted on Wednesday in favour of industrial action. Wood Group workers are employed on Shell platforms to carry out maintenance work. Wood Group Lands Total Contract

Wood Group has been awarded a five year, US$ multi-million contract by Total, which includes the option for two, one year extensions. Under the contract Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) will deliver engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services to four offshore assets and two onshore facilities in the UK continental shelf (UKCS). The contract, effective immediately, continues WGPSN’s 12 year history of providing these services to the Alywn, Dunbar, Elgin and Franklin platforms and the St Fergus Gas Terminal.

Wood Group Forms Joint Venture With ABT Oil & Gas

Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) announced that it has entered into a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) with ABT Oil and Gas Ltd (“ABTOG”) to create a 50/50 jointly controlled entity. It is proposed that the new entity will deliver services dedicated to the development of projects for stranded and marginal hydrocarbon fields, initially in the North Sea utilising ABTOG’s intellectual property for buoyant technology and the engineering, project management and delivery execution expertise of WGPSN. The new entity will not participate in field ownership.
