Rosneft, Pertamina Poised for Indonesian Refinery Deal

Rosneft, Russia's largest oil producer, and Indonesia's Pertamina will sign a framework agreement later this week on an oil refinery in Indonesia, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters on Tuesday. He did not elaborate. Pertamina has been looking for a development partner for the $12 billion Tuban refinery project.

Pemex: Brush Fire at Salamanca Refinery Contained

Mexico's state oil company Pemex said on Monday that a brush fire at its Salamanca refinery has been contained before it reached any installations or caused any injuries. The refinery, located in central Guanajuato state, is operating normally, although though due to "environmental conditions it has not been possible to completely extinguish" the blaze, Pemex said in a brief statement.

Pemex: Tula Refinery Fire Doused, Output Unaffected

Mexico's state-run oil company Pemex said on Wednesday that an early morning fire at it's second biggest refinery left no workers injured and did not affect production. Local television footage showed an intense ball of fire around 2 a.m. local time at the Miguel Hidalgo refinery on the outskirts of the city of Tula and featuring a crude processing capacity of 315,000 barrels per day.

Pemex Refinery Fully Running After Power Outage

Mexican state oil company Pemex said on Friday that its Salamanca refinery was operating as normal after a power outage earlier this week. "On Thursday we restarted the cracker and today it is working completely normally," a Pemex spokesman said. The Salamanca refinery, in central Guanajuato state, is Pemex's fifth largest with a crude processing capacity of 220,000 barrels per day.

Pemex's Salamanca Refinery Shut Down by Power Outage

Mexican state oil company Pemex said on Tuesday all plants at its Salamanca refinery were temporarily stopped due to a power outage. The company said on its official Twitter page that there was no fire and the incident was under control. The Salamanca refinery, in central Guanajuato state, is Pemex's fifth biggest, with a daily crude processing capacity of 220,000 barrels.

Valero CEO Sees Growth, but Not Acquisitions

Valero Energy Corp is taking advantage of low oil prices to aggressively build out its refining and logistical assets, but new acquisitions are not planned, Chief Executive Joe Gorder said at the company's annual shareholders meeting on Thursday. "There is nothing currently pending," Gorder said of potential acquisitions. There were no great logistics assets up for grabs.

Pemex Tula Oil Refinery Back to Normal After Fire

Mexican state-owned oil company Pemex said on Friday that it had contained a fire at its Miguel Hidalgo refinery and that the facility was back to normal operations. No workers were injured, and the facility near the city of Tula in central Hidalgo state sustained only minor damages, the company said in a statement.

Part of Petrobras REPAR Refinery Shut After Malfunction

Brazil's state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA sharply cut output from its 208,000-barrel-a-day REPAR refinery after a malfunction forced a two-week shutdown at its catalytic-cracking unit, union officials said on Wednesday. The U-2200 cracking unit at REPAR, in Araucaria in Brazil's southern Parana state, was halted on Dec. 21 and restarted on Jan. 3, the union said.
