$10.5m Funding for CorPower Wave Energy Tech

CorPower Ocean announced the award of $10.5m in new funding for it’s wave energy tech innovation, a funding round led by Midroc New Technology, with additional investment from ALMI Invest Greentech, EIT InnoEnergy and a group of private investors. CorPower Ocean’s Wave Energy Converters (WECs) are inspired by the pumping principles of the human heart.

Pipeline Breaks GoM Depth Record

More than 140km of pipeline manufactured at Tata Steel’s recently enhanced double submerged arc welded (DSAW) mill has achieved an industry first by becoming the deepest to be laid in the Mexican section of the Gulf of Mexico. The company was awarded a contract to supply 457mm OD x 28.6mm WT API 5L PSL2 X65MO line pipe from its large diameter 42” DSAW mill in Hartlepool, U.K., for the development.

Foster Wheeler For Air Quality Control System Upgrade In West Virginia

Foster Wheeler AG announced today that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group’s Environmental and Industrial division has been awarded a contract by Longview Power, LLC to rehabilitate and optimize the wet flue gas desulfurization system at their existing 700 MWe (net megawatt electric) Longview Power facility in Maidsville, West Virginia, USA. Gas Generator Comply with Medium-voltage Directive

Series 4000 gas generator sets built by MTU Onsite Energy, a Rolls-Royce Power Systems subsidiary, have been certified as compliant with the medium-voltage directive issued by the BDEW (Federal Association of the Energy and Water Industry) in Germany. Operators of MTU Onsite Energy gas gensets are therefore authorized to feed the power they produce into the public grid.
