Chevron Gets Green Light for Captain EOR

Energy giant Chevron announced Tuesday it has received approval from the U.K. Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) to move ahead with its plans for an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project that aims to unlock millions of extra barrels of oil and extend the life of the long-producing Captain field in the U.K. Central North Sea.Chevron North Sea Limited (CNSL), which operates Captain as 85 percent stakeholder, said its plan includes applying polymer injection technology to increase production and help maximize economic recovery from the field located approximately 145 kilometers northeast of Aberdeen.

Chevron Extends North Sea Contract with Petrofac

Petrofac’s Engineering and Production Services (EPS) division has secured a 12-month engineering services contract extension from Chevron North Sea Limited. Chevron Achieves First Gas from U.K. Alder Field

Chevron North Sea Limited today announced it has started production at Alder, a high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) gas condensate field in the Central North Sea. Bluewater to Supply Turret Mooring System for Rosebank FPSO

Bluewater Energy Services B.V. informs it was awarded a contract from shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the engineering, procurement, construction and integration (EPCI) of a turret and mooring system for a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel to be part of the Chevron-operated Rosebank project on the edge of the U.K. continental shelf. At about 80 meters in height, with a process manifold/turntable of about 34 meter in diameter, the turret and mooring system will be among the largest ever designed and built, Bluewater said.
