LNG: France Gets Its First LNG Bunker Vessel, Gas Vitality

The first LNG bunker vessel to be based in France has been named Gas Vitality at a ceremony held today at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, China.The 18,600-m³ newbuild bunker vessel is TotalEnergies Marine Fuels’ second collaboration with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd (MOL) and shipbuilder, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding following the signing of a long-term charter contract in November 2019.

ECO Affiliates Ink 5-Year Deal with Shell for IMR Vessel

Two affiliates of Louisiana-based Edison Chouest Offshore (ECO) have signed a five-year contract with Shell Brazil for light subsea construction, and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) services from the M/V Island Enforcer, a 402-ft. subsea installation and construction vessel. According to ECO, the agreement includes a varied list of projects featuring vessel services from ECO affiliate Bram Offshore, and ROV and survey services from C-Innovation.

VOS Challenge joins Vroon Fleet

VOS Challenge has been delivered to Vroon according to the company spokesman. The vessel left Fujian Southeast Shipyard (FSES) in Fuzhou, China on Thursday 23 June at the start of her journey to Thailand, where she will be delivered to charterers PTTEP. VOS Challenge, a 65m anchor-handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel, is the first in an exciting new series of six such vessels under construction at the Shipyard for Vroon.

Bibby Unit Orders SOV - Offshore Wind

On January 15, Bibby Marine Services Limited, part of Bibby Line Group, signed a contract with the Damen Shipyards Group for delivery of its first Service Operations Vessel (SOV) with walk-to-work access. The vessel, Bibby WaveMaster 1, will undertake offshore wind project work in the North Sea. It is the first vessel purpose-built for the transfer and accommodation of offshore personnel and aims to maximize working time and staff retention.

Delta SubSea Secures New Build Olympic Delta

Delta SubSea, LLC has entered into an agreement with Olympic Shipping AS for the Olympic Delta, a newly built multipurpose subsea support and construction vessel. The Olympic Delta is a GREEN Vessel designed according to DNV class, with high focus on reduced fuel consumption, which also means lesser emission to the environment. The vessel is equipped with two Delta SubSea Schilling HD 150 HP work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) from DSS’s fleet.

Bhagwan Dryden Delivers Dive Support Vessel Solution

Incat Crowther’s first-of-type Catamaran Dive Support Vessel, Bhagwan Dryden, has set a new standard for catamaran dive support vessels since its launch and delivery earlier this year. Operational feedback has been positive for the vessel, which has already received high praise for initial operations, including mooring inspection carried out by ROV and operations under four point mooring and DP in shallow, rough seas.

Eastern Shipbuilding Start Construction of Dredge Barge ATB for Great Lakes

Eastern Shipbuilding is pleased to announce that on, Monday, September 15, 2014, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC  and Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. (ESG) cut steel starting the construction of a new Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge ATB . The cutting ceremony of the 433’ Trailing Suction Hopper Dredge Barge took place in Eastern’s under roof pre-fabrication building at its Allanton facility in Panama City, Florida.

Long acknowledged as a firm to watch in U.S. crewboat and fast supply boat innovation, Seacor Marine will be attracting industry attention once again when its latest set of new boats begin delivery in 2014. While this new class of mono-hull boats have some big dimensions, the more noteworthy feature will be the size of its engines. With 10 vessels in three different classes all more than 200-feet long, this is the largest single order of fast supply boats of their size.

New CTruk Design Targets Work Farther Offshore

While debate continues about the most efficient way to serve offshore wind installations farther out to sea, CTruk has been quietly forging ahead with a new OWSV designed to safely deal with rougher seas, longer transits and tougher assignments without neglecting the comfort of passengers and crew, the company said. Based on a proven workboat design concept, the CTruk EVOC22 is a 22m composite twin-hull with 7.5m beam and 1.25m draft.
